When this has happened in the past for a handful of episodes, I have allowed for some early discussion threads…but in this case I am going to have the bot stick to the official schedule. For one thing, these leaks don’t have any subs, so most of this community would be unable to participate. Also, this leak is a whole season rather than the drip-feed of 1-2 episodes that we have had in the past.
So, normal spoiler rules apply for this show and discussion threads will still be created according to the official release schedule.
TIL about qView. I am going to give this a shot because I haven’t found a great option for viewing webp outside the browser when I am stuck on Windows.
I really wish desktop image viewers supported it better instead of the browser being one of the few pieces of software that render them. For web use though, they are hard to beat when it comes to file size, so I understand why they have been so widely used in the fediverse where instances basically run off donations.
I just requested it by pm and the thread is here.
I’m not holding my breath, but it isn’t inconceivable that he might join the crew. He doesn’t seem to be ideologically motivated in the same way the other enemies have been. I like that he is different than the others we have seen so far.
I have been super busy (and on vacation) and fallen behind on a lot of things. I did want to make a post with a couple that I have managed to keep up with though:
The past couple chapters have been really good. They have focused only on our main couple and it’s been sweet as can be. Sometimes I feel like series like this one can get too distracted with all the interesting side characters it has, but the past few chapters have really brought the focus back in a satisfying way.
I have been reading this one for a long time and it has consistently been good. However, the past batch of chapters has been really good. If you have ever wanted to see how a manga couple deals with life throwing shit at them and trying to plan for life after school amidst it all, this is a good depiction of it. There are lots of chapters, but they are each only ~4-6 pages, so it goes quick.
I love how stupid and silly this series is. I was happy to read that ridiculous story about two girls that are infatuated with the same guy. However, it recently got pretty real and I have loved how it pivoted so seamlessly into serious feelings territory, but at the same time has kept its absurd sense of humor.
So, I just caught up with this series and it continues to impress. For being the author’s first non-H work, the story in this series has been great. There are some great storylines going on involving some great characters. Looking forward to more.
Weekly ranking roundup:
Credit to /u/Abysswatcherbel for making the chart for reddit karma and /u/Nooble5 for the Anime Trending chart.
No AC or AT charts this week with the change in season. I am a bit surprised that Dan Da Dan was able to top the Apothecary Diaries finale. Looks like Takopi has also had a great showing in the karma rankings.
I was on vacation this past week, but managed to catch up on a few things and catch the premiere of a couple others:
Thanks for pointing this out. I have disabled future threads for this show. It will still be requestable if somebody in a different region with a different release schedule wants a thread.
…unbelievably terrible move by netflix
The fans would be cool about it I think given how they are Urumin x Kimiya shippers already. The real danger is if the other members find out.
The closest thing I can think of is Taisho Otome Fairy Tale. However, the MC loses function of his hand/arm early in the story due to an accident. Everything else seems to fit though. I remember reading the beginning of the series, but dropped it pretty quick. I don’t remember why though, probably just had too many series to keep up with.
She is a character from Ranma…so yeah, kinda.
I am up to date with the manga and thought that this first episode was better than I thought it would be (the dragons weren’t even crappy CG). It’s a fun story if you don’t mind the extremely socially anxious main character (Bocchi, etc.). I hope that they keep up this quality for the rest of the season and give Nero more opportunities to be his cool self.
Some of those Sumi faces seemed like straight traces of Kubo when she went into moe-blob form.
This specific point of terrorizing the boss? Nope. I just went and checked. They combined two story beats into one in episode 10. They had Alicia grinding in the dark-element dungeon (instead of just getting lost in it) with Yumiella’s help and beating the boss over and over again. That is where they found the dark and light swords (and a wind spear for Patrick). However, the boss never really showed recognition of Yumiella or terror at her approach.
Now we are back in Saki’s POV. It’s great to see Kanon having fun and being social, but it is certainly a change for Saki. I think that it is an interesting idea to explore the dependence that builds up between somebody that takes on the role of a caretaker and the one being taken care of. Now that Saki isn’t needed as much by Kanon, how does their relationship change?
I can’t say I am a huge fan of Kanon’s mom pushing for them to be living apart…like, what’s the harm? Does she want Kanon to be more independent? If that is the case, it’s already happening (as Saki is finding out). In any case, I do agree that there is a big difference between being roommates and just living very close to one another.
They really underplayed how much PTSD Yumiella gives this dungeon boss. I remember feeling genuinely bad for it by the time her trip ended when I read this in the WN.
The boss is great, such a pushover when it comes to being a disciplinarian.
