Consciousness Explorer. Musician. Audiobook Narrator.
By remembering that we’re all hypnotised by conditioning and are deluded in varying degrees.
It’s not personal. Inquire within and see if you can find the “I” who is affected.
Yep. Got this yesterday (UK).
I used take other forms of Magnesium, but recently found Glycinate has made a massive improvement in my sleep.
Best sleep I’ve had in years.
I think the one that really “did it” for me was Ramana Maharshi.
His direct approach and Atma Vichara (self inquiry) facilitated the experience of my True Self.
Feelings are so subjective that words / descriptions kind of distort the original visceral feeling.
I did voiceovers and book narrations for some years. (Still do the latter at Librivox.)
I’m biased, but there is clearly a quality in the human voice that AI will never capture.
I should add that while I’m not specifically a “Jazz Musician”, I play piano , and utilise substitutions, extensions etc. :)
Its the same kind if vibe as when you hang out with certain Jazz musicians / fans and they start discussing chord substitutions, extensions, etc.
Same. Just switched due to de-googling.
That’s good to hear.
I taught in Yoga Studios for a while, as well as smaller, private classes. I facilitated something called Yoga Nidra which is a form of meditation.
I had a large amount of positive feedback and people apparently had all kinds of amazing experiences - but quite often - particularly during the times at Yoga Studios, I was not in a good space myself generally, and the very thing I Ioved doing became more like any old humdrum, regular day job.
On a ‘bad’ day, in my mind, I would imagine a newcomer visiting the class and saying something negative at the end of a session - despite this never happening. :)
In my experience, all pressure us created by a judgmental mindset (which is the default setting for the human mind!) and a lot of the ‘pressure’ is actually a matter of perception - as is everything.
Of course, a lot of situations are extremely challenging, but the only thing we really have dominion over is our perception of these situations.
Changing one’s perception though, can take years of practice. Both our own conditioning , and that of the ‘human collective’ influencing us, runs deep.
However, even a little regular practice can evidence tangible results in small, incremental ways.
A very well written piece in an accessible style (which frankly, makes a change for this type of article).
Hi there. Nice to meet you. I’m new here to, and have been at the “Nondual Thing” for about 25 years, and I’m still a novice 😊
So glad to find this space after failing to find many like-minded people on Mastodon. I subscribed to the Nonduality sub on Reddit for a while though.
Thanks for setting this up!
This happens ( was exposed) at our local foodbank. (London, UK)
