I’m sorry. I definitely meant HIPAA. My bad.
Thank you very much for the correction and link.
Going off another comment, I guess I still need to get some clarification regarding details and possible exemptions, or how to check on their eligibility for exemption. (In the very least, possibly having <50 employees I guess.)
Thank you very much for commenting.
Well, I’ve seen the kid sitting at a computer as well as looking at paper records with names clearly visible. And, while I was there cleaning, I’ve seen him go through and do ‘wake up calls’ to wake the people staying there.
Though, the 50 employees detail makes me question a bit now.
It’s a ‘behavioral’ shelter facility which provides short stays (minimum 90 days) for unhoused or substance treatment clients (they don’t provide the substance treatment here, only the temporary housing and “case management” to help find housing), or individuals moved out of inpatient hospital stays who need a place to stay.
They are run by a larger religious organization in the area, which has 3 or 4 other locations in town. I’ve seen on their website that they have regional offices elsewhere in the state, so, it’s possible they have at least 50 employees across all those regions. Though, I can’t be entirely sure of that, and not sure how to check on it.
Thanks again for the help so far!

vimmiewimmie@slrpnk.netOPto Unethical Life Pro Tips@lemmy.world•ULPT Request, Copy "Do Not Duplicate" keys2·23 days agoThank you very much. That’s really good to know.
Though, I’m unsure of a few things.
So, the machine physically CAN copy this type of key, you’re just not supposed to?
And, additionally, I wonder how it copies a key type if it doesn’t have the key template in it’s inventory.
Unless it either has those templates and just tells people to use the honor system, or it somehow copies keys in a way which somewhat disregards the specifics of templates?
Also, unless the manner in which it copies keys is capable of duplicating various security features, this wouldn’t work for say the more secure ‘Best Cormax’ key (which would give the shower access)?
vimmiewimmie@slrpnk.netOPto Unethical Life Pro Tips@lemmy.world•ULPT Request, Copy "Do Not Duplicate" keys1·23 days agoDo you know if this includes the ‘Best Cormax’ type keys?
It’s the one that would provide the shower access, so hoping to find a solution for it.
Thank you for taking the time to comment.
vimmiewimmie@slrpnk.netOPto Unethical Life Pro Tips@lemmy.world•ULPT Request, Copy "Do Not Duplicate" keys1·23 days agoHave you ever gotten a ‘Best Cormax’ key duplicated?
I can search for locksmiths or maybe even self-service kiosks (from another comment here), but I’m not sure about that more secure Cormax key, which gives the shower access.
vimmiewimmie@slrpnk.netOPto Unethical Life Pro Tips@lemmy.world•ULPT Request, Copy "Do Not Duplicate" keys2·23 days agoYeah, that’s a good idea, I’ve considered trying this.
Though, the key that would give access to the shower is a ‘Best Cormax’. So, hoping to find a solution for that if I can.
vimmiewimmie@slrpnk.netOPto Unethical Life Pro Tips@lemmy.world•ULPT Request, Copy "Do Not Duplicate" keys2·23 days agoLike @three@lemmy.zip mentioned, the service states you can’t duplicate those types of keys. But on their website, after this statement, they link to their Terms of Service, which states
and you will not use the Service or the Minute Key Machine to duplicate any third party’s keys (including without limitation, protected keys such as “Do Not Duplicate,” “Do Not Copy,” public school, public university, or public institution keys)"
unless you are authorized in writing by such third party to duplicate such keys."

This is sort of where I keep going back to in my mind. Like, I’ve seen things about supposed redacting or whatnot. So, like, what is there to be released if supporters of the Current Admins had them for so long?
Some like original copy of something somewhere that somebody secreted away?
And, how does something like that get proven to be…legitimate? Especially to a point of actionable repercussions?
I honestly just don’t understand how this all works. Hoping for the damn best though.
Or persist in a series of varying thoughtless reactions, whether lashing out or simply engaging without stopping to think with ‘depth’.
Though, I’ve also come to understand many people seem to have no model for cognitive engagement. Like, “How do I think about this situation I’m in?”. So, I try to give some grace, but, ffs, what the damn… I wish more people would just physically stop, physically pause, and think before doing something which just causes a bigger problem. Like gd, why is everyone in my family like this…

I have an uncle with a multimeter but he wasn’t sure about testing a 250v outlet, and the guide I found instructed to start testing by flipping off the circuit breaker, so I started looking for that. But I’ll be looking into this Non-Contact tool. I really appreciate the advice.

vimmiewimmie@slrpnk.netOPtoElectricians@lemmy.world•Help, Locating Breaker for 250v outlet.English2·3 months agoUnfortunately the chart is unhelpful. Either ambiguous naming, or “girl’s room” type stuff. And no one is aware of what those designations mean anymore (people moving in and out and having done this or that random work themselves or with some random person they happened to know). But I definitely will be updating the labels ASAP.
I’m still getting to the other responses and trying to check on their recommendations or statements, but my thoughts for Android were a situation like a custom recovery environment which I’ve found to have the option of creating a backup for the phone.
Any corrections anyone has for whether that was a valid understanding or not is highly welcomed.
