I actually have a Steam Deck so I definitely understand that. The amount of cool tools built for it almost overnight was amazing.

I agree with you but for the sake of answering why the average consumer might go the GabeCube route: convenience and a warranty.

Cycling. I was too heavy and out of shape to jump straight to the deep end so I went with a pedal assist ebike, it allows me to move at a rapid pace while still keeping in the cardio range. I live close enough to work to cycle to and from, gives me an extra 30 minutes of high intensity cardio per day. That and cooking at home using fresh ingredients as much as possible. Also, less garbage carbs, more complex carbs (also learned I have celiac disease so I also had to go gluten free, though you might not have that particular issue)

I’ve been cycling to work when I can and walking to the store if I don’t need a ton of groceries at once. I really wish the walking and cycling infrastructure were better here.

For a long time, China continued to play with western tech because it was convenient and allowed them to invest elsewhere in more important matters. Recently, the west has clearly demonstrated a willingness to use its tech to further its aims. China, seeing the obvious writing on the wall, is making the smart move and investing in more sovereign technology. I hope it works flawlessly and even spreads to other countries that aren’t west dominated/aligned.

Absolutely! Like, I had some really reactionary takes in my youth that I regret, I look back with the utmost amount of cringe at now, but at least I never got it tattooed on myself. Also, if I had, I absolutely would have had it covered a LONG time ago.

If the guy got that tattoo at 23 and no longer espouses those beliefs, maybe he should have had it covered before running for office.

TBF, I do understand WHY one might crash out on this. Anyone who reads a single history book, that isn’t just Zionist lies, can see that this has been going on for over 70 years, again and again and again, while the USA settler government keeps feeding the Zionist settler state more weapons, more money, etc. It’s frustrating because the government only cares about how it affects the bottom line, regardless of the cost to humanity. Marx Madness if you want some theory reading. I don’t have a lot of time to sit and read so I listen to that. It was very useful for expanding my knowledge of theory. They also now have a new spin off for current events called Blatant Propaganda which has been pretty good so far.
