The deciduous trees in my backyard aren’t dropping leaves, they’re not even changing colour anymore. Half the leaves changed colour and dropped earlier in autumn and then with all the warm weather, the process completely stopped. Even noticed around the inner city, a lot of the plane trees are still mostly green. Nature is confused too!

My first choice of polling booth had no democracy sausages so of course I left to find another with them.

The entrance to this polling booth is quite narrow so I got assaulted with how to vote pamphlets on entry with nowhere to run.

I like it when clients ask a lot of questions but my god, this one has gone to absolute town. Getting their money’s worth I see.

Why is going to Chemist Warehouse such a stressful experience? Narrow isles with too many people, long waits for prescriptions and then waiting in a line to collect them. Then another line to pay. Or maybe my local is just a bad one. This place is a time suck.

Holgate has good food. There’s also Super Lekker, had that last time I was there. But there’s only outdoor seating so needs to be a nice day.

Oh wow, how did they get in?

We have phone call & meeting booths in this co-working space for a reason. Guy who works in an office takes call out of the office so as to not bother his staff, but is now pacing around the open plan area where I sit talking loudly on the phone. Make it make sense.

On the unrelated: yep, recent DiDi trip I somehow ended up from Collingwood on the eastern freeway heading east, I live in the west. I was quite drunk but not enough to realise he was going away from the destination.

I got some business cards printed through Canva and holy crap the quality is terrible. The “premium paper” is so thin and flimsy and the print quality is no good. I can export my Canva design and use another online printing service, any recommendations for a good one to use?

The spam from this party is unreal - got two messages over the last few days, and more before that. How do they have my number?!

I gave in, I put the heater on this morning.

Doing some work on a Sunday (boo) - client issue came up just before the long weekend, which has been on my mind and needed the calm of a weekend day to work through it. Email prepped and ready to send out tomorrow morning. Now I can relax.

I had to pack A LOT into that short week, somehow it felt more stressful. Time to relax. Rushed to Dans before they closed to buy a bottle of scotch to enjoy over ice tonight.

I called the medical clinic to see if they were running on time before I made my way there. As I hate waiting around, like most people. Was told to turn up at appointment time as doctor was running in time. Only one person ahead of me apparently. 30 mins after appointment, have still not been seen. Why do I bother.

Amazon doesn’t even try with deliveries. I have an empty plant pot next to my front door, perfect for concealing delivered parcels. The Australia Post guy who does the deliveries in my hood gets it. Amazon just leaves the package on my front door mat for anyone to pinch. Hopefully it’s still there when I get home tonight.

So I think the friend outing I planned went well. There’s existing cracks there but when we’re all together having a good time, it’s really good.

I planned a friend outing for this evening and honestly I don’t know why I bother. I’ve been getting slow responses during planning, slower than usual, feels like I’m forcing these people to hang out with me. They can say no? Maybe I’m reading too much into this but it’s consistent with other things that have happened recently which make it feel like we’re distancing. Don’t say I didn’t try if these friends aren’t in my life in future. I don’t even want to go anymore.

There were some ominous looking clouds before but it’s cleared up where I am. My garden needs a drink bad.

The cool change is so nice though, go away unseasonable warmth.

Cleaned out the garage, no sign of dead rodent. I’m guessing it’s somewhere above the ceiling and below the roof and the smell is coming through. Or possibly inside where the roller door spins. So just have to wait it out. Kinda concerning, I hope this isn’t a start of a bigger problem. On the bright side, garage is now clean and tidy!

The weird corner with the draws and the peninsula, why? Can you even open those draws fully?
