Skenes is an excellent pitcher. He has a long way to go, to catch up to guys like Kershaw of course. I hope Pirates fans enjoy him while it lasts, because their ownership won’t want to spend what it will take to keep him in free agency.

He spends much of the day sleeping upstairs. When I come in the front door, I frequently hear a thud as he leaps down from wherever he was napping, then the sound of him sprinting while meowing, then I see him slide a bit when he gets to the bottom of the stairs & the uncarpeted floor, then he sprints over to me demanding all the pets and scratches and love I can possibly give. Naturally, I’m happy to oblige him

It took me a bit to notice the cat. As I first saw the robot struggling to reach the door release, and its other arm was going toward its lap, I was expecting to see the robot masturbating. I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed the kitty.

I would love it if more teams were willing to spend in free agency like the dodgers do. I like seeing players get paid and I figure the game gets stronger & more resilient if more teams care as much about winning as the dodgers.
