Won’t this harm foreign films though?

This is so dumb. It’s not cheaper to film in Canada than Georgia, is it? Many film productions are moving from California, yes…but then going to Georgia or Texas.

I’d imagine it’d be both licensing and sales fees would go up if you’re licensing or selling it in the States

Executives were never going to sacrifice their pay raises. They usually don’t eat into their own margins to pay employees, especially when they’re in an industry that’s not exactly financially profitable.

You thought the “job security and living wages” was going to come from nowhere? When to production costs of a good go up, producers will either seek additional revenue streams, or increase the price of that good to pass the extra cost down to the consumer.

Everybody’s like “pay the actors” until their streaming bill goes up by $5 or an ad pops up on their TV screen lol

Okay here’s a question: Can a show that started out great but had a middling/bad ending still be considered great? Like GoT and House Of Cards. IDEK if people even finished House Of Cards.

I think the show would have been beautiful in its old age if its characters were allowed to grow old, have more kids, and die.
