I totally agree with you - when I’m not actually asking somebody to tell me the right answer right away, I’ll usually try to include “do you reckon” in the question to imply that. Like, “what bird do you reckon that was?” or “what do you reckon the tallest building is?”. I usually find that results in a brief convo before somebody pulls out the phone to answer, which I’m not so opposed to – after we’ve had a chat!

I follow most of these points but I’m not sure I understand point 4?

My bosses hauled me into a meeting because I’m “too negative” about AI. I’m also a web developer, like you. Sometimes, when your boss is a clueless freak who has become obsessed with a shiny new toy, there’s no way out. I use it as sparingly and sarcastically as possible, but they still tell me to use it most weeks.
