Mostly because the best options I’ve found require a monthly subscription fee that I’d like to avoid if I can find an alternative. Haven’t tried Joplin but have looked at it before, I’ll look at it more carefully, thanks for the tip.

Hadn’t heard of that, seems like a very promising app. Hope they continue to develop it more.
