all the Linux
Unafuckingcceptable.
Your thin-skin is pretty standard for Conservatives.
Conservatives?? Your liberal government removed minimum sentencing for reoffending criminals and then complained about the increase in crime.
But yes, let’s target licensed hunters and sports shooters because it’s clearly their fault. Obviously PAL holders receiving daily background checks was not enough.
My company has decided to dedicate me and another coworker to go computer-2-computer and check if they have TPM 2.0 support.
I’m doing my best to push a Linux switch in our workplace!
Like I said, I use debian docs to install.
You didn’t say that, you said.
only time I check their docs is when I’m trying to remember what the current stable release is called.
After that arch docs are INCREDIBLY thorough
Yeah I wouldn’t trust the documentation for another distribution on my install, you do you though.
…who… IN THE FUCK!!! Reads Debian docs?
How else does one learn the distro they use without consulting the documentation?
It has this hybrid option, that’s about it from what I know.
Set graphics mode to hybrid and enable fine-grained power control:
sudo envycontrol -s hybrid --rtd3
Edit: the —rtd3
flag seems to have different levels of power management.
--rtd3 [VALUE] Setup PCI-Express Runtime D3 (RTD3) Power Management on Hybrid mode. Available choices: 0, 1, 2, 3. Default if specified: 2
professional tip for those who decided to rock Debian on a laptop with two GPU’s.
Envycontrol will take the headache away from manually configuring your xorg & xrandr, trust me, compared to the Debian documentation this will save you hours of your life.
Why cant autodesk port the POS to Linux
Out of curiosity have you tried running it in a Wine/Proton environment? I’ve been able to utilize Steams “add non-steam game to library” feature to then enable proton compatibility on simple windows programs.
Only gripe I have is with file-browsing in this scenario.
This right bloody here, you have to make sacrifices for peace-of-mind otherwise you’ll live your life paranoid on the smallest of things.
One persons opinions don’t suddenly make a service unusable or unreliable.
Matrix/Element is a nice alternative, got some rough edges in the voice-chat that could be worked out but other than that works as intended.
If you’re working alone and hear heavy footsteps coming towards you do not fear, find yourself the nearest “safe” room with a type-writer and they’ll leave you alone.
Weird, I must’ve accidentally deleted my previous comment? Apologies.
when camping around Harrison lake I’ve heard my fair share of gunshots (and bear bangers) and I’ve seen signs of .22 shots and the occasional 9mm on signs. Lots of helmetless yahoos on ATVs up there too.
Yeah, we aren’t trying to be rowdy and obnoxious. Ideally we would like to be as far away from other people as possible.
My buddies know the Harrison scene and rather keep away from it, we were thinking of scouting out near Silver Skagit Road but worried we’ll run into another locked gate.
You can try the iOverlander app to find boondocking spots. You’ll want to try to get way up an FSR and away from civvies.
Thank you for this, I’ll give the app a try!
And please, please don’t combine shooting with booze, and shoot into the mountain.
I like to say we take safety regulations quite seriously while also understanding the fact that part of the fun of camping is drinking, so we’ve decided to only dedicate one night of drinking and the next day use our empties as part of our targets, obviously our firearms are locked and kept away out of sight and out of mind that night.
And of course we’ll watch our background and ensure nothing strays out of our path.
I appreciate your feedback, thanks a lot!

I think if you work in any mechanical shop this comes with the territory.
This is why I chose an ASUS nuc + external bay-storage for my home networking needs, felt like synology NAS would be a limiting factor.
When i first researched Linux distros and learned that Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Kali Linux, etc were all derivatives of Debian I knew it was the distro I wanted to learn.
Granted the package manager does tend to fall behind and the Linux kernel is quite outdated on Debian 12 however, it works great for 99% of tasks (including gaming!).
They even earned themselves their own acronym. The problem is growing up Schools (at least in Canada) have pushed these corporations onto kids which makes them think these are the holy saviours of the internet further feeding their data collection and the cycle.
Ah yes, this surely will push me to vote Liberal!
Preach about inclusivity, then go and pull this when someone bothers to questions it.
The criminals increase the crime rate, that’s just facts, I’ll never understand why our current government is targeting folks who actually follow the law.
