Why, need a good number to hand out when you aren’t really into someone at the bar and they won’t leave you alone?

Let’s be honest, neither is perfect, but only one party is gutting all the parts of government that actually help anyone.
There’s a difference between being two faced with foreign policy and actively breaking the machinery that let’s your own government function.
I’m on Garuda, every game I have tried has worked great, sometimes I just have to choose a different proton version with an easy pull down menu. The only game I have given up is Destiny 2, because they say they will ban anyone on Linux because of their anti cheat.
“we’ve shut down the entire mechanism of government and it’s still not working and we’re all out of ideas!”
Depression aside… That age is also just a hard time of your life filled with change and so much responsibility. I know it doesn’t help you much now, but there’s a good chance things will improve for you in the next five years, at least a little.
We’re rooting for you. Good luck.
I switched from Bazzite to Garuda to get away from it being immutable. It’s been great.
I use Garuda, you just install the Nvidia version and the updater handles updates automatically whenever you run it.
Easy peasy.
Xfce user, here to represent!
I love it and haven’t had any trouble. Try it out!
Check out Garuda too, it is specifically designed with gaming in mind.
People always talk about the learning curve and compromises, but Linux is finally in the “shit just works” stage, so it’s not much different than the Mac/PC decision people make every day.
Heck, in a lot of ways it is more similar to Windows than Mac is, so it should be an easier decision. For some reason though, everyone still treats it like… Well… It would be like treating Windows like you still have to know DOS.
That’s just not true anymore.
Non immutable just means that your system isn’t locked down to make sure you don’t accidentally break something. Some people have a strong preference for it one way or another.
As to why it might help, every distro comes with a custom mix of software and tweaks. Bazzite is fedora based while Garuda is Arch based. Some things may work better or worse with less tweaking.
So if you are frustrated enough to consider something else and aren’t committed to an immutable distro, it might be worth experimenting with.
If you want a non immutable distro, I switched to Garuda after Bazzite and it has been great for gaming.
I didn’t get a Bambu printer because of the price or design, I got it because of its “just works” reputation, which it does.
Unless Qidi matches that ease, it isn’t equivalent, and that’s important to mention. Maybe it does?
And yeah, I don’t love the recent changes, but that’s only ideologically. Practically speaking it is still amazing.
I’m relieved after reading this that the “biorisks” aren’t people… yet.
I dunno, I use Garuda and it’s an Arch distro. It’s been super user friendly and I’ve only had to learn console stuff when I wanted to mess with stuff most casual users wouldn’t be bothered with.
And maybe you would say, “well that’s not really representative of a normal Arch install” but isn’t that the point of different distros? That anyone can build on functionality to do something like make Arch more user friendly?
Oookay… I’ll quote you if that will make you feel better…
While I mostly agree, one of my counterpoints is stuff where they describe what something looks like for 4 or so pages. I’m simply not gonna read it, full stop, no exception. Stuff like that is not challenging, it’s boring.
That was a pretty absolute sounding statement. And then when I pointed out that maybe it’s to practice being able to get through that kind of text, you pointed out that you have aphantasia and your brain doesn’t do that. Which is fine, but you said “it wasn’t challenging, it’s boring” instead of saying you have a mental condition.
And now you are all defensive and it’s just weird, so I’m gonna go. But if I’m the future you say what you mean instead of not what you mean, it may be received better.
I’m my mind that’s like arguing that exercises for arms are pointless but not mentioning you were born with no arms. It’s misleading to say you don’t like part of their list but not mention that you have a personal situation that makes you incompatible with it.
Alienate enough people to get a democratic majority in the house and Senate?
And if you forgot to properly sign up for a long distance plan your calls were at “market rate” instead of the very reasonable price of about fifty cents to a dollar a minute.
