  • They did fix the leveling. Instead of getting bonuses based on which skills you leveled up, you simply get a flat 12 points to spend every time you level up. It makes for a much more consistent leveling experience. You don’t need to worry about stupid things like missing a +5 because you accidentally gained a level of Acrobatics, or missing out on bonuses entirely because you leveled twice in a dungeon and didn’t have a chance to sleep.

This mod fixes leveled quest rewards. By default, when you finish a quest, the rewards are scaled to your level. So if you go do the Mehrune’s Razor questline at level 1, you now have a level 1 dagger that is super underwhelming. The mod fixes it, so quests give a set reward, instead of scaling to your level. So now if you rush to get Mehrune’s Razor, you actually get a kickass dagger a level 1, which will carry you through combat for a long time.

  • It means there are two separate chemicals inside of the building. Each chemical would have their individual labels on their containers, but these external signs are for first responders who haven’t entered the building yet.

Let’s say there’s a fire. The red diamond tells them how likely it is that the chemicals are the cause of the fire, and where they should direct their efforts. The blue corner tells them what kind of PPE they need to use if they enter. The yellow tells them what kind of potential explosive risks the chemicals have. And the white one is especially important, because the W means the chemical reacts with water; If there’s a fire at the facility, they can’t simply use fire hoses to fight it.

The reason for listing them separately is because each individual chemical has its own ratings. You can’t simply take the highest of each and combine them into a single sign. For instance, in this case one chemical isn’t flammable but is explosive when heated. The other chemical is flammable but not explosive. So if you see a chemical on fire, you know it’s the second chemical and isn’t explosive. But if you see something that isn’t burning in a room full of fire, you know it’s a potential powder keg waiting to explode.

  • Those are hazardous chemical markers. You commonly see them on tanker trucks as well.

The numbers range from 0 to 4, with higher numbers indicating more risk. The red top corner is flammability. The right yellow corner is instability; How likely it is to react with other things around it. The left blue corner is risk to health; Even if a chemical isn’t unstable or flammable, it can still be hazardous. The bottom white is for special markings. In this case, one of those chemicals is marked with a W, meaning it reacts to water.

So if there’s a fire at the warehouse, this tells the responding crew “hey just so you know, there’s some nasty shit in here. One presents a severe health hazard, becomes potentially explosive when heated, and reacts with water… But at least it isn’t flammable. The other is flammable and can present a moderate health risk. Because of the one on the left, it would be a bad idea to use water to fight this fire.”

  • Try moving it out of your Program Files folder. Some programs don’t do well in those folders, because writing requires admin rights. It looks like the game is trying to do some sort of operation on a game file, and that operation is failing because it can’t actually access the file. Maybe move it to something like C:\Games instead, which won’t require admin rights to access. You probably shouldn’t be installing games to Program Files anyways.

I suppose the quick and dirty way to test would be to run the game as administrator. If that solves the issue, you know it’s likely something to do with Program Files being write-protected.

  • One dude ghosted everyone about a decade ago. One day he got a phone call while hanging out with some friends, said he had some important family business pop up, and completely vanished. We had tried googling him, but didn’t get anything substantial… Until one of our friends remembered that he always went by his middle name. His legal first name was completely different. So we finally googled using his legal name…

Turns out, he’s doing 30 years for repeatedly raping his underage cousin. We started looking at trial and sentencing dates, and realized he got that phone call about a week before he was initially indicted. So we’re betting it was the cousin coming forward and telling someone, who then called to confront him.
