Yup! I record all my movies on letterboxd so I just checked what I watched a week ago and went forward

I agree with it being the weakest. I do think if they hadn’t recast Mrs. Brown and had taken the flashback from that last scene where she draws the parallels between her kids leaving and Paddington staying in Peru then they could have a much more emotionally impactful film. Still I’ll take the worst Paddington movie over any Disney live action movie

• Smokey and the Bandit 3.5/5: I expected this to suck but I was really blown away. Burt Reynolds is legitimately funny, Eastbound and Down is an incredible theme song, and the whole ACAB motif of the movie aged very well
• The Legend of Ochi 3/5: I saw this for mystery movie monday and spent most of the time thinking this was a mostly AI generated film. The creators insist there was no AI used in this but it does lead one to wonder why they chose the (for lack of a better term) AI-aesthetic for the whole thing. Regardless, still a weak movie even by kid standards
• Final Destination 3 2.5/5: It’s fine, there’s some nudity and bunch of teens dying violently. Not much to write home about
• True Lies 4/5: About the level of sexism I expect from a 90s movie, but still pretty entertaining and has great jokes. Arnold and Cameron are just two heavy hitters doing great work
• Sinners 4/5: I thought this looked dumb as hell in the trailers but word of mouth got to me so I decided to see it. This movie is pretty good, has good music, pacing, and manages to get you more invested in the characters than most horror movies. It’s worth seeing and I would put effort into seeing it in a packed screening because it’s great with an audience
• Final Destination 2 3/5: This is also fine. Good kills, a decent plot and I like how it ties it back to the first movie, the bus kill is fucking wild (spoilers)
• A Minecraft Movie 1.5/5: I would only recommend seeing this in a theater with a bunch of people. There’s about 5 good jokes in the movie and it really feels like there were far too many cooks in the kitchen working on this

This doesn’t say anything. Neither of those statements are true. Nobody “allows” someone to enter the country “illegally” that’s what the laws mean. We also didn’t magically change the rules when Trump entered the office, he just chose to ignore them and is being reprimanded for it. Also illegal immigrants can’t vote so they don’t impact policy decisions. This is two vague statements that evoke feeling without actually saying anything associated to an attractive made up woman with no facts attached

It almost sounds like you might be suggesting that there’s no ethical consumption under capitalism

Morpheus died in the Matrix mmo shortly before it ended. The Wachowskis consider the game to be cannon so there’s nothing to be done. It’s not some conspiracy against Fishburne and I don’t know why outlets refuse to include that info

It depends on where you are but no. I have family members that will get a quarter or half a cow after it’s slaughtered and that’ll easily run you $750, and likely higher depending on the quality. For $200 I’d expect them to have gotten a handful of steaks, some roasts, and probably some ground beef. Hell, I’ve eaten a $200 single kobe steak before so it could be as little as a single piece but I highly doubt you’re buying kobe from the back of a truck

Princess Mononoke (4K IMAX) 4.5/5: This movie is so great and this was a beautiful restoration. What an experience

The Saint 2/5: Watched this in honor of Val Kilmer’s passing. In hindsight there may have been better choices, it really gives “Mission Impossible at home”

The Luckiest Man in America 3.5/5: I thought this was alright, I kinda wish it had gone more into how Micheal actually beat the system. It also got a little loose with the facts but whatever

Drop 1/5: This shit sucked. I saw it for Mystery Movie Monday and was initially confused why someone brought a toddler to an R rated screening. Nope, this is PG-13. This woman is the worst fucking date of all time, the waiter is an improv comedian, and the plot is nonsensical. Also the title sucks, the “Drop” basically doesn’t matter for the whole movie

The Final Fantasy pixel remasters are all old school turn based RPGs that can be played one handed on the steam deck. Certainly not all 50 games but UFO 50 has a bunch of games made for a non-existent console that are all pretty simple and I would bet a lot of them can be played one handed. Both Crypt of the Necrodancer and Cadence of Hyrule are rhythm dungeon delver games that probably work one handed too, technically so would the new game Rift of the Necrodancer but that requires more skill than I have

Oh, and for the RPG fan Disco Elysium is almost certainly up his alley and perfect for one handed play

Because Marvel is a franchise machine. You don’t want to be cast as an Eternal if the movie sucks and the Eternals are never heard from again. Who knew who the Guardians of the Galaxy were? It makes sense if you’re holding out for a bigger role

I would imagine logistics simulators like Satisfactory and Factorio would give you an eye for process design and flow diagrams. It’d probably help with understanding scale, inputs, and outputs too
