Ich denke es ist wohl weniger Aufwand, wenn wir immer gleich für mehrere Bücher stimmen, also zB eine Liste von 3 Büchern, die wir dann hintereinander weg lesen und jeweils darüber diskutieren. Und danach wieder das Sammeln von Vorschlägen und eine Abtimmung für die nächsten 3 Bücher

Sorry, you totally overestimate how loud they will sing, how much people already sitting are willing to move and underestimate how loud the surounding talking can be. If it where that easy I wouldn’t ask this question here. I’ve often received feedback, that they really like, that I push the singing in the group, though that doesn’t mean, that many people would step up and sing loud with me (at least as long as there is no huge crowd singing, or where they can just bawl instead of sing). Peoples inertia is unbelievably big. And in 2 months I will be at a camp with 120 people, so not as small as normally.

Thats an interesting idea. Might really try this. Though I’m not sure about the sound quality for singing in contrast to just speaking (that being the core purpose of these systems)

Ich habe meinen sozialen Kreis und auch das soziale Engagement eher bei den Pfadfindern. Da bin ich heute auch beim Osterfeuer. Das ist halt nicht in meiner Nachbarschaft direkt. Ich sollte echt mal direkt hier schauen. Ich glaube das Feuerwehrfest ist dieses Jahr ein großes Ding wegen Jubileum, vlt kann ich da mal Kontakte ausbauen

Ich habe gerade nochmal drüber nachgedacht, wie das bei uns mit den lokalen Festivitäten aussieht. Ich denke, ich sollte bei sowas mal aktiver teilnehmen. Gibt z.B. das Schulfest (wo meine Frau arbeitet) und das Feuerwehrfest. Und einen Jugendtreff gibt es auch.

Ist euch der Teil mit der Verfolgung der Aktivisten auch komisch vorgekommen? Da wird mal so eben nebenbei erzählt, wie sie bereits ein großes aktivistisches Netzwerk haben und Dissidenten vor der Polizei verstecken. Alles außerhalb der Nachbarschaft ist nicht im Fokus und deshalb nur sehr verschwommen beschrieben. Ich hatte das Gefühl, da hätte jetzt noch einiges mehr davor kommen müssen. Für mein hopepunkiges Gefühl hätte es den Teil gar nicht so gebraucht, bei meiner Angst vor einem faschistischem Regime…

Ja, das von oben herab habe ich auch gesehen. Wobei realistisch gesehen so eine Veränderung (ohne Aufbegehren der unterdrückten Schichten) ja wohl genau von da ausgehen würde. Das ist ja genau die Schicht/Kaste (und die darüber), die mit ihrem Denken und Verhalten das Problem sind. In der Geschichte ist es ja gerade ein großer Schritt (wenn auch ohne große Gefühle erzählt), dass die Bediensteten plötzlich als Menschen behandelt werden. Indien ist da mit dem Kaste-System denke ich noch deutlich krasser als Europa.

So, habe die Geschichte gerade durchgelesen.

Mich beschäftigt vor allem der Aufbau einer sozialen Nachbarschaftsgemeinschaft. Das gibt es ja nur noch selten und auch ich habe recht wenig mit meinen Nachbarn zu tun. Mina’s Dream gibt uns zwar ein Beispiel, dass so eine Gemeinschaft cool ist, aber leider nicht wirklich, wie man sie starten kann. Die Gemeinschaft in der Geschichte startet ja mit passivem, aber öffentlich sichtbarem Verhalten (Gestaltung ihres eigenen Gartens). Wie kann sowas sonst laufen?

Letztens hatte ich “Machtübernahme” von Arne Semsrott gelesen (eher das Gegenteil von Hopepunk). Er beschreibt auch verschiedene Mittel, um gegen den aufkommenden Faschismus vorzugehen, u.a. auch Social Prepping. Also Prepping nicht im üblichen Sinne egoistisch zu verstehen, sondern Vorbereitungen auf sozialer Ebene zu treffen. Kontakte knüpfen, Hilfsangebote (auch für die Zukunft) aussprechen und aufbauen, beim Vorräte anlegen andere mitdenken oder sich direkt mit anderen koordinieren, … Das habe ich mir auf meine Bucket Liste geschrieben.

Habt ihr schonmal was mit einer Nachbarschaftsgemeinschaft zu tun gehabt, die nicht um sowas wie Kirche oder so zentriert war?

For a long time I was a group leader at our scouts troop, at that time for the age group of 13 to 16 years (myself being like 28 at that time). This happened on our summer camp. We had small rituals for morning and evening, just something to get the group together and starting/ending the day with everyone. As I have enough creativity to write decent short stories and the overall theme of the camp being knights and castles, I wrote a short story about the knight Kunibert, who accounts to the reader about how he slayed a dragon and rescued a maiden from it. So, what does a dragon have? Big teeth, fire breath, sharp claws,… and of course a horned tail. So I also wrote about the horned tail. But in german the word for tail is also slang for penis. While writing I really wasn’t aware how it sounded. Until I read the story to the kids.

That was a bit weird, but also fun. Next day we let the kids write the next episode of the story. They included Kunibert putting his “big horny tail” on the table at the castle, trying to brag with its size, despite it starting to stink horribly, since he didn’t clean it before.
