I think it’s pretty well known, but it’s not super popular due to requiring people to read dialogue instead of multitasking while listening to the 5th rehash of a basic plot point.
Pretty great show :D

I’ve finally gotten around to watching Breaking Bad. I’m at the start of season 2 right now. It’s clearly a quality show. Even when I think a plot line or performance is lacking, the production itself is always nice.
I’ve noticed the “brown filter = Mexico” thing in American cinema for a while but feel like I’m seeing where the memes about it really come from. It’s pretty heavily used in this show.
So far I would recommend it!
I will also always recommend the Buffy the vampire slayer T.V. show, Psych, and Monk.
Yes I love the old ‘weekly procedural’.
Mostly with a mooltipass. I also save them in a keepass db that is only written to a thumb drive, for redundancies sake.
Nice phishing question though.

This song has what is probably my favourite James solo, nice to see that John Marshall (unsurprisingly really) did it justice.

When server CPUs go idle, it takes them some time to get spinning again when they’re needed. So I keep this low resource bash one liner running in the back ground to keep my CPUs lightly active. This way there’s always a little momentum going and they never stop spinning:

Good answer! I get tired of the self hosted email FUD. Sure there’s more to it than “docker up” (Maddy is close though) but it’s not that hard and it’s thoroughly documented at this point. So many tutorials.

Port 25 being blocked on residential connections is still a thing, but it’s much less of a thing than it used to be.
I’ve never had an issue just using the submission port when the default smtp port was blocked :D
I’ve never run into it being blocked on a VPS or ded host provider. I wonder if this is a locale thing or if you’ve been unlucky enough to choose providers that attract enough abusers to require these policies.

I’m gonna dive in to the new Guild Wars 2 content that came out Tuesday. I’m pretty excited to get closer to resolution on the current story and some of the new events look like a good time.
I also burned myself out a bit on the last area they released by trying for some very RNG heavy achievements (if you didn’t wanna spend a bunch of gold anyway) so it’ll be nice to spend time in a new area even if it turns out to be mid content :D
Not a particular band this week, but I found myself idly searching the Icecast directory for stuff and stumbled on both https://onlydoomradio.com:8002/ and https://www.thevoiceofdoom.com/. Both play a wide variety of doom and have been pretty solid so far :D

I’m gonna make a bunch of negative assumptions based on the contents of the Agents.md and Claude appearing in the user drop down list of the commit log.
tmux is fine.

I believe that there is now LLM generated code in the Linux kernel, so BSD is probably going to be where this path leads you. Solaris or AIX maybe ;p

They’re still a bit pricey compared to the disposable pants you’d buy at a large chain store, but N&F has a brand (unbranded brand) that is notably cheaper and lacks the N&F branding.

Same here, both old.reddit.com and the new layout (i.e. just reddit.com) work fine for me without a login. All I have to do is dismiss the little flyout that asks if I want to login using google.
Even in Chrome. Even without Ublock origin. Even from the USA, without a VPN.
Ready for the incredibly complex fully elite hack? CAN YOU HANDLE IT?! DO YOU HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY?

ETA: With the large variety of responses in this thread, I’m really curious if this works for other people or if I’m just super lucky.
The 3 seems to just be an incrementing number for each file opened by the process.
FWIW: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_descriptor#file_descriptor_table
If you throw an strace on a process that interacts with the filesystem you’ll see that stuff like open() returns a file descriptor and stuff like read() takes a file descriptor as an argument.
These are also generally the numbers you’re using when you do I/O redirection in your shell with stuff like &1 or exec 5< ./some_file.txt

This is/was “hotly debated”. IMO public schools are like any other public thing and accessible to vamps generally, and Angel was just being sassy when Jenny asked him how he got in.
But along those lines, my initial response was “Depends on who’s writing” with the Angel/Jenny school scene in mind. “Enter all who seek knowledge” or whatever.
Overall they were not very consistent when it came to the invitation thing.
He looks like he’s really Buggin’ Out.
Fun idea!
