in my experience, reddit advertising has been idiotic for several years.

I go to a basketball subreddit. there are no relevant ads about basketball. not local team tickets, not streaming services, basketball equipment, basketball merch, or even a video game.

I go to a subreddit for a tv show. it’s similar. There are no ads or links to buy dvds or tickets to a convention or anything related to the show.

They could totally target advertising based on subreddit and they don’t.

Based on an overwhelming amount of economic studies of tariffs in the last 100 years, the EU should ignore it. Why enact tariffs on American goods and make life more expensive for Europeans? Studies show EU businesses will raise prices accordingly. The citizens will be worse off.

americans are awful at protesting. they show up, cant figure out where to park, have no organizations, have lame chants (e.g. hey hey, ho ho, donald trump has go to go), present the same meaningless meme protest posters, leave tons of trash behind, and it last a few hours. Nothing is sustained for multiple days or weeks, and the solidarity is with people who already were with you.

As a yank living abroad and often traveling for work (conferences, support, sales) It’s typically viewed as an extension of a 30 year conflict, extended on an 80 year conflict, extended on a 1500 year old conflict.
