Set the screen to off when lid closed, but never to sleep or hibernate and it’s 100% ready. Some commercial series (MSI, Lenovo) have wifi, bt, rj45, and usually a 4g option.

TMNT never made enough sense to me.

I use Dex for Windows everyday at work. Keeps my personal accounts off my work PC.

Only thing lighter weight is an active 4G watch.

My opinion is you need to use a smaller phone. Then a regular looking running waist pouch, arm band, or even a good pocket will work. Look into the small(er) s24, iphone se, iphone normal, pixel, BLU or Tank brand phones.
