these days you can use gsi versions of lineageos, they generally work fine

I also hate systemd and use slackware and devuan, both of which works on aarch64. I believe Void also works but I never tried it.

USD $60 seems a bit low for an x86 SBC.

I would try getting a tablet. I don’t like Apple devices because of their “jailed” software policy but iPads have awesome display panels, maybe getting an older model for cheap could be good. Have an iPad 3 (2012) and the panel is still miles better than my cheap Lenovo P11 (2021).

I haven’t tried. As my script isn’t downloading to WARCs and not compatible with their tracker I believe someone would have to create a new script to run with their infrastructure… Though, maybe even if it can’t be an AT project someone might help, so I guess I’ll try asking.

iPhone 7 got Linux ported, so yes you can. Try looking for postmarketOS (though there aren’t that many working features, it’s good enough for running servers)

Sorry to those who made this but I absolutely hate it. The previous UI wasn’t the best but at least it was much more compact than this. Literally ads no meaningful feature while increasing taps needed for features and waste screen space.

yeah I’ve got two laptops for 80% of my computer usage and one has 10" 1920x1080, other has 13" 1366x768. It’s impossible to read text or do any serious work when having more than two windows visible at the same time, and virtual desktop with hotkeys make it much more tolerable.

10 years ago is like the skylake era. sure, those machines are still pretty quick. can’t really be directly compared to phones…

I’ve never had the chance to actually try it on a phone(so only on vm) but Maemo Leste seemed really nice, pretty smooth even on a N900. It seems to be extremely unpopular though, can’t even find a recent video :/
