first!
I’m going to use this to quickly update about the Atlas:
- Currently working on UX improvements, adding AI Slop, and more Overpass layers
- Renamed it redAtlas. Check out the live progress here https://redatlas.app/
- I made it selfhostable (if you prefer not going to the netlify hosted one redatlas.app) more here: https://codeberg.org/hex_atlas/redAtlas
- You can share parts of the state via linking the URL e.g https://redatlas.app/information/nexus/prolewiki?country=Germany&id="1599"
- It’s still buggy and I’ll make a proper update once I feel like it’s an alpha-version
Its a monumental task and I’m not the fastest programmer and sorting out irl suff on the side so it’s still a buggy mess
Deepseek works fairly well, but if you don’t want to waste tokens you can also try running it locally with ollama (I’m not sure how to fix the CORS issues so ones Ollama can hook into redatlas directly. You can also try with ollama_origins). If you ask a location based question and wait a bit it’ll show on the map, but crashes fairly often.
Also the obvious disclaimer that it’s AI slop and can hallucinate yada yada (it’s still fun to see the locations on the map).
