  • Yeah I’m kinda looking back on 20th century fascists and thinking, “God, you think someone would have pointed out just how interminably stupid these people were.”

    1. Appeal to base animosity against ‘outgroups’.
    2. Argue that effective governance is hindered by democratic bureaucracy.
    3. Appeal to an idealised past.
    4. Misogyny and racism.

It’s the same predictable shit. There isn’t an ‘alt-right’. This is what fascists are. It’s what they’ve always been. Stupid scared children who look for an authoritarian daddy and a punching bag to safely beat on.

I love the hidden scene where you climb the statue and connect to the battleship. You can ask why is everything so shit in Revechol. And when you do the woman explains it with a delicate metaphor about this elaborate glass construction around a square in this far off place. The placement of the glass needs to be perfect so they can form this beautiful pattern on the square in the evening. Everything needs to be in its right place for the sum of the effects to work. Everything needs to be in its right place for the greater good.

As she saying this Harry looks out over the ruins and economic desolation of Ravchol. There’s something so poignant about how unfair it seems. How these disinterested Powers That Be can treat this place and these people like a piece of glass in their delicate liberal construction of the world.

I think it’s probably my favourite piece of writing in any game.

Got it. Its worth mentioning that the people behind these leaks seem to be Soyjacks, who basically left 4Chan because they felt it was too PC. They are a bunch of racist, omniphobic shitbirds.

Edit: Also, there’s no .gov emails.

  • It’s about a kid who loves to fight. His father is a sociopath who raised him to be a great fighter. He plans to challenge his father some day and he’s gonna get there by asswhoppin his way through the legitimate and underground fighting worlds.

While the series’ love of fighting is very real (the author has a lot of experience in martial arts) and the fighting is more grounded than something like DBZ, the world of Baki is very OTT. Like theres an arc where the most dangerous prisoners from prisons all over the world break out and go to Japan to challenge Baki. I kinda like how the series takes itself seriously and never winks at the reader despite how insane things get. That and the brutal fight scenes; they’re great. Regarding the Musk thing, the author seems to love real-world cameos.
