  • Yeah but have you considered this, from Ken Martin’s biggest Stan?

    givesomefucks

    What?

Did you literally just download the PDF and search for those three things, see 0, and then close it?

Because even just skimming thru any of the 193 pages would show you none of it’s is about specific policy positions, largely because with 4 years to the next presidential election, that would be entirely useless…

Like, we do not want the DNC picking policy, that’s what the candidate we vote for in primaries do.

A large organization like the DNC dictating policy for politicians to follow and using their influence as a party to get those people elected is what got us here in the fuckign first place

The paper is going to seem boring and it’s not going to have what you think, be cause it wasn’t written for us, and it wasn’t written up to be a list of reasons why Kamala lost, be ause everyone reading it would be very aware of why that happened.

The point of the paper was what a nonbiased organization could do to fix shit.

So (again, fucking obviously) it’s not going to list policy positions to push.

  • YeahI can when you’ve ignored everything people have presented you. Especially when you have done nothing to warrant any additional effort.

Also, realize that universal health insurance doesn’t equate to no private for-profit insurance companies or that there is a single-payer. For example Germany has a multi-payer model with both private nonprofit and public for-profit insurance options. IIRC Japan is privately owned nonprofit with single payer. And Italy is single payer with a sort of hybrid public/private delivery structure. Shit is complicated

It’s really not in other places as it’s usually supplement insurance people can get not their only options. American only makes it hard because it’s designed to milk citizens dry or allow them to die/suffer because they can’t afford it after the insurance they pay for does nothing.

Btw saying it’s complicated is just your opinion and needs citations.

  • It’s not at all comparable to Social Security. One is an actual social safety net designed to have the government provide at least a small amount of safety net.

The ACA, Romneycare and the heritage plan are all about not providing any safety for the citizens but ensuring the health insurance industry is taken care of at the expense of the citizens. This is simply because they can’t handle the thought of actually supporting citizens with an actual Healthcare System people can afford.

Hell the Heritage Foundation was proud of Romneycare and only attacked the ACA as it was a win for dems as it was their plan and couldn’t admit the dems did it because of how racist they are.

The idea of pooling the purchasing power of individuals

Except the ACA fails to accomplish anything close to that. It’s not designed for it simply requiring minimum levels of coverage. It isn’t even an option in most states. As others have stated it doesn’t matter if a person is insured if getting treatment still bankrupts them.

  • Obama told host Matt Lauer that “when you actually look at the bill itself, it incorporates all sorts of Republican ideas. I mean a lot of commentators have said this is sort of similar to the bill that Mitt Romney, the Republican governor and now presidential candidate, passed in Massachusetts. A lot of the ideas in terms of the exchange, just being able to pool and improve the purchasing power of individuals in the insurance market, that originated from the Heritage Foundation. …”

It’s not a myth but sure keep saying it ignoring all the facts in front of you
