You clearly haven’t experimented with AI much in a work environment. When asked to do specific things that you are not sure if are possible it will 100% ignore part of your input and always give you a positive response at first.

And don’t get me started on APIs of actual frameworks… I’ve wished to punch it hard when dealing with react or spark. Luckily I usually know my stuff and only use it to find a quick example of something that I test locally before implementing if 5 mins of googling didn’t give me the baseline, but the amount of colleagues that not only blindly copy code but argue with my reasoning saying “chatgpt says so” is fucking crazy.

When chatgpt says something I know is incorrect I ask for sources and there’s fucking none. Because it not possible my dude.

In my experience, after thinking what I want I ask a server to take my order. The digital menu is there as a replacement of the physical menu. All the complaints I read are about the extra things the restaurant tries to do with it. Replacing servers’ tasks and abusive pricing practices. Fix those, complain about those.

I know it doesn’t, I was countering your logic of “I’m a professional programmer” as if the correct interaction would be obvious to a programmer. The intended interaction requires extra thought and to be more through than the obvious one, as you have described.

Are you intentionally ignoring that the actual names of the files are “11. EpisodeEleven.mp3”? There’s whitespaces and a bunch of letters there.

I’m also a professional programmer, and assuming that sorting by numbers code would try to grab the first block of strings until the first whitespace is a big assumption I would not make. I’d say that after trying to convert everything but the extension to a number for sorting it failed so it defaulted to string sorting for everything else.

I don’t mind when there’s physical menus but people saying that they would leave the restaurant when there’s not is crazy for me, menus are a waste of paper and ink.

I’m more used to either PDFs that are updated once per year (and the restaurant usually has a bunch of physical copies, but not enough for everyone on peak hour and that’s completely reasonable) or webapps that have the regular menu where they can strikethrough sold out items so that it’s easier for customers to notice, add dynamic items like “the fish of the day”, or even being able to click each item to get a preview image.

I agree that having prices be updated every hour/minute day according to demand is incredibly scummy and completely inexcusable, and restaurants that do those things should be boycotted, but that’s a separate from the menu digitalization.

Reading other comments I’m on the unpopular side, but I prefer QR menus to physical ones. We don’t have that surge price thing here, prices are pretty stable usually.

Printing several menus and having to replace them when they get dirty and stuff is such an unnecessary waste.

I had issues like that about a week ago, when gaming the system was super sluggish. It turns out that an update put the render under CPU instead of GPU, as in, without hardware acceleration, or software based.

I wqs into rainbows way before they were a gay thing, or before I knew they were at least. Now my profile pictures look gay AF because of it which is perfect because I support the movement.

A single .sh file with exec permission that asks for sudo will easily download appimage keyloggers and then set a cron job to run it every X time to keep it alive and sends it all to whatever remote location. Or whatever else you let the appimage do.

95% of regular users will double click that, and then write their pass in the popup without blinking twice and that will work in most Linux systems.

Most viruses don’t target Linux, sure, but that’s wishful thinking. Always be creful with what you run.

Yeah sorry if it came that way, not my intention. When referring to “lots of people” I quite literally meant that I know a gay guy that wouldn’t touch a vagina even if he was paid, so saying that if a dude liked a pre op transman is 100% gay doesn’t feel right with me. I specifically didn’t mention trans women, just women with male genitalia just because of that. There are cis women that also operate their genitalia, dunno. The only difference would be the child bearing thing AFAIK and that’s not really something related to attraction in my eyes.

I don’t understand why you call saying that sexuality is a spectrum and is separate from gender identity, box labelling project. I used different words but in the end it’s the same point.
