You’re absolutely right that a lot of these assholes join just for that though, pretty much every photo of cops LARPing as soldiers shows at least one carrying no plates in a vest. They don’t use them for protection and remove one or two to cool off after rucking in full battle rattle for hours….all they care about is the intimidation factor of looking like a shooter so the real weight is never carried.

I’m not up on regs anywhere but always kinda considered it a rule of thumb that people like EMS serving at home have the stars back while armed forces are advancing with stripes billowing behind but I could be wrong. Cops just pick whatever looks cool on tv and go with that so fuck them

It was great the first couple years when people were just throwing piles of in game money around so everyone could play with all the flashy things. After they cinched up every money glitch and started pushing shark cards…online instantly lost any appeal. As you said, grinding for things in game is purposefully tedious and geared to make you spend more money.
