Brave is a web browser created by an add company with ties to Peter Thiel.

But if that’s not reason enough to avoid it, here are the three primary ones that come to mind:

1. The only reason Brave exists is because Brendan Eich is a homophobic piece of shit who was ousted from Mozilla due to his active support for ending gay marriage in California.
2. The privacy grift is a grift.
3. The crypto scam.

Systemd is free software. The four essential freedoms necessitate that you have complete control forever.

The only way that you could lose control is if your hardware manufacturer took away the ability for you to install your own operating system. But then the choice isn’t going to be Windows or a Linux flavour personally blessed and tivoised by Lennart, it’s going to be Windows or a brick.

Mostly pretty positive actually, having some reasonable assurances that you’re actually running the software that you think you’re running seems like an obvious thing you would want.

You know what’s ridiculous? Designating Hamas as a terrorist organisation. All that does is make it illegal for people to work with the civil government of Gaza.

And so if you’re an expert from a country that does that wanting to provide aid to some of the most vulnerable people on earth, you now have to go through with this ridiculous charade of totally not working with the local government in any capacity.

Because if you do, well, then you’re aiding a designated terrorist organisation, and that would be bad. Very bad. You’re helping them do terrorist medicine at the terrorist hospital, or terrorist water treatment at the terrorist water treatment plant after all.

It’s utterly obscene.
