if you can get an invite, which isn’t too difficult, torrentleech is a great private tracker
qbittorrent’s built in search feature is phenomenal. it makes it really easy to find stuff. i don’t know why its disabled by default…

thinking about this, i’m wondering if moore’s law gave this idea and/or justification to certain developers that they could continue to balloon their software requirements indefinitely, and they’d never bog down computers more than they already were. apparently nobody ever expected we’d hit a point where PCs were powerful enough and our tasks simple enough to still be able to be used in some fashion with minimal upgrades 10-15 years after manufacturing date, and yet everything still runs like shit all across the board whether its that old or much newer.

it’d be a very appropriate and fitting follow-up to the recently released Cummunist Manifesto: Dommy Mommy Commie Adventure
I was curious aswell, so I looked into it, and it seems to be some super decentralized spontaneous thing with a new subreddit by the same name at the center of it. interesting stuff, because it popped up only 9 days ago, and seems to have already managed to find at least one person willing to actually organize a protest in each state, yet the rhetoric is completely against political organizations helping or taking credit, rather than individuals. I saw a post from Georgia where they were still trying to decide on where to meet though, so i’m not sure how successful this will end up being. I hope there is more to the story than this
that’s honestly less campfires than I’d expect

i’d consider checking out the urban midwest aswell. Chicago and Minneapolis are both cheap as hell, and have a lot of great people and vibes
Unhook replaces the function of DF and Hide Shorts, in addition to a few more nice options for hiding algo-slop. would highly recommend it! also Dearrow, which was made by the developer of SponsorBlock. it does the same thing as Clickbait Remover, but with added customization and community submitted replacements.
they used to give out codes every few months, but ig they haven’t in a while. if you know anybody who has a tl account though, they get a handful of invites to give out
