Oh fun, I look forward to American gun insanity getting mixed into the Catholicism.

TERFs love the patriarchy, they aren’t feminist at all.
Indeed I do. Oh so much.
Stainless Steel Rat is an excellent shoutout.
The Scarlett and Brown series is about outlaws on the run in a slave society, has similar bursts of violence, deeply scarred main characters, and somewhat snide narrator.
I read Ann Leckie’s series that starts with Ancillary Justice around the same time and it tickled a lot of the same places in my head as Murderbot, in that it’s about a construct forced into violence that then escapes to move in the human world with its own agenda. Very different in tone, pacing, and scope though.
The problem is that neoliberals will gladly hand power to fascists rather than see the pocketbooks of the wealthy affected in any way.
Just look at how the allegedly-Democratic party in the US continues to pave the way for Trump.
He’s a typical sexist alt-right babytoughboyfluffer.
Hung Gar instructor given two hours to train newbies:
“This is horse stance. We will do this for the next two hours.”

Dynamic libraries are also time hogs
The Society of the Spectacle talks about how this phenomenon fits into larger societal pathologies.
“Evangelical”, when I was a kid, meant “racist who is mega devoted to the Bible and goes to church twice a week, and maybe doesn’t apply enough critical thinking to what the preacher says.” They’d know Bible quotes, ask themselves what Jesus would do, and although I completely disagreed with them and fled the state I lived in ASAP, they were coming from a sincere place.
Evangelical", today, is purely a statement of political alignment with MAGA. Most don’t even go to church. They’re literally willing to worship a golden idol.
Religion is a tool for exploitative social control.
There’s a super reform synagogue in my town, their president is an out lesbian, they turned out for blm marches, host families traveling to get medical care for their sick kids, etc.
And they’re generally super pro-Netanyahu, pro-NeoNaqba.
It’s baffling to me that you can understand that there is rampant racist police violence in the US, and not in Gaza or Jenin.
I’m wondering whether this is a privileged/feels like deserves privilege white guy thing.
Down here with the queerdos and minorities, I’m seeing people engage more fully with each other, be more willing to take on friends and lovers, in the last few months.
Some are getting caught by chat bots, yes, but a lot of people are out there trying to grab human connection while we still can.
I certainly feel like the “I’m the übermensch and revel in cruelty, empathy is a weakness” mentality that the straight basic wypipo have adopted will not only discourage other people from wanting to be their friend, but also discourages themselves from seeking friendship, because they see it as a weakness.
Conservatives are fucking insane. They’re about to get the chance to really wallow in their own shit now.
How long until we see goiters and pellagra making a comeback in Texas?
Fuck Eurovision.
Wow, I guess it’s not Palantir at least?
Shapiro from Pennsylvania. Pro-genocide, loves billionaires, condescending. Ticks all the boxes.
That isn’t both-sidesing.
I said that Harris was clearly better overall. I have a preference and I acted on it, which is the opposite of what both-sidesing is trying to achieve.
However, on the particular issue of genocide in Gaza, I only see differences in rhetoric, not differences in behavior.
Amoral bullshit machine? No wonder senior management types love these things.
