I would bet that there will be an “accidental” bug in the code that deletes every single Social Security account.
Exactly. And if you use a desktop like Cinnamon or KDE Plasma, it really isn’t that different, other than how you install software. I fully believe anyone can use it. Especially since the majority of computer users tend to only use them for browsing the web, email and light gaming. The learning curve is minimal.
Yes, Mint uses Cinnamon desktop by default, which I believe was forked from Gnome. I like it, although I’m using Kubuntu at the moment. Cinnamon has that Windows-y look and feel to it, and retains some of the Gnome advantages.
Not interested in what will most likely just be yet another right-wing bullshit platform.
I’ve got a 34mm penis and 12 dollars. Any takers? Ladies?
I would buy lots of tacos from a truck playing “Lowrider”.
I’ve had good luck with several Lenovo laptops. ThinkPads and IdeaPads. Everything but the fingerprint readers just works.
Yes. If you hover over the small $ next to the amount, it says “converted from CA$…”
How does he say anything with all that Cheetos dust caked on his lips?
Maybe set up something like Disney Pass, or whatever it’s called. Let the CEOs pay for preferential 911 service. And make them pay a LOT.
I’ve had very good luck with my HP Smart Tank printer. It just works, in both Debian and Fedora distros. Gets automatically configured, and both printing and scanning work flawlessly. Arch based distros are another story :-(
Try Distro Hopping. Then, next week when you switch to yet another distro, you can just erase the entire disk and install Linux.
May I ask why you prefer that over Google Drive, or others such as Dropbox or Mega? I used it extensively when I used Windows, but that’s been several years.
You have entered TRON. Say hello to Jeff Bridges when you see him.
I wish my employer (state government) would use Linux. But unfortunately, they are all in with Microsoft. Everything has gone that way. SharePoint, Microsoft hosted Exchange, OneDrive, etc… And it’s as horrible as you can imagine. It’s awesome when I can’t access my personal files because Microsoft servers are down. And don’t get me started on the CrowdStrike fiasco!
This is the greatness of Linux. Instead of having to change your workflow to be compatible with your OS, you can change your OS to be compatible with your workflow.
I’m using Cinnamon on Fedora, but I’m guessing it should be the same in Mint. Open the Menu Editor (right-click on the Mint menu and select Edit Menu) Locate the “Files” entry. Right click on it and select Properties. In the Command box, add a space after the %U then Downloads. So the Command should be nemo %U Downloads.
Edge has a much new kernel. The last time I checked, regular Mint was using a 5x kernel, and Edge had, if I remember correctly, a 6.5 kernel.
Plus, to double the mileage registered by using different size tires, you’d have to put a roughly 10" tire on a Model Y.
