I went to book rooms tonight in Vegas at the Golden Nugget for the solar convention this week.

Firefox couldn’t click through to the booking page. It worked for one room but not two. Chromium worked (ish), but also tried to say that it was almost double the rack rate than what the listing showed on Firefox.

I eventually went to kayak and despite glitches, booked the rooms, and still ended up paying more than I should have.

The Internet has become fundamentally broken due to sites trying their stupid fuckery of tracking and pricing shenanigans, let alone just trying to find basic information.

I mean, glad you think that, but there’s this stupid thing call reality that is pretty lame yet it is what it is.

Also, I’ve been sober from alcohol and drugs for close to 30 years now … and I’m perfectly aware of all this and think about this stuff all the time. We don’t need mind altering drugs to understand how stupid, greedy and corrupt our world is, has always been and will always be until we destroy ourselves and free this planet of our own stupidity.

You have to remember that most people, especially Americans, are brainwashed from birth to believe that the current order of the affairs is the best and only way to operate a society, and that anything else is, ahem, communism, which is the worst possible thing there is. For many, psychedelics has been the most impactful way for an individual to actually think outside the box on a visceral level since their conditioning since birth has been one of “this is the only way to think, so hop on board lest you be cast out of society.” It’s the entire reason why these substances are illegal, can’t have people thinking for themselves out of lockstep with the prescribed mentality.

Because the people in power benefit from the status quo, and they’ll sooner blow up the planet than live in a world where they’re not on top.

It’s a stepping stone. First they’ll target trans people, than anyone LGBTQIA+, then minorities, then anyone with liberal views, then anyone who looks weird to them. That was the purpose of that EO dipshit signed a few weeks back directing is admin to explore how to institutionalize anyone deemed mentally incompetent. All they have to do is declare “x group” is mentally ill and then they’ll round em all up. It’s fucked.

Hopefully the ban isn’t retroactive if it does come to be.

80 on the tire side wall, 60 on the door

On my 3/4 ton work truck, my tires max at 80psi and I fill them to 60psi. BFG A/TS.

My mom still has a pair of them from when my uncle went to Moscow in the 80s, I believe one of them is Gorbachev.

The difference here is that pilots are rigorously trained and go through constant continuing trainings and recertifications, while someone who wants a driver’s license effectively needs to prove they have a pulse and can read at a second grade reading level (at least here in the US). If we actually cared about road safety, we’d raise the bar for a driver’s license.
