Rodney also notes that millions of slaves were taken from Africa. The Europeans did not simply show up to find them all waiting on the shores. Africa had no need for this huge amount of slave labor, but the new colonies did, which is why they traded in slaves and not gold. Some African states that did enslave other groups, even before the Europeans, didn’t necessarily use them as labor but would integrate them as citizens.
The Europeans coerced many African states into engaging in the slave trade when they were otherwise reluctant, for example by playing on existing social divisions to turn groups against each other, or by refusing to trade desired European goods for anything other than slaves. Any comrade here who is curious can read “How Europe Underdeveloped Africa” by Walter Rodney.
Someone shared this link about Brave recently though the article is a couple years old: https://www.spacebar.news/stop-using-brave-browser/
There’s a browser called Ladybird written in a new engine but it’s still a ways off from being released.

Refried beans. Good with nooch or some raw white onion on it as well.
It depends on the kid and can just take time. My first wasn’t very interested and my 10 month old can’t get enough.
We’re doing baby led weaning with both but will also feed them purees and mashes ourselves, both approaches are fine. There’s a saying “food before 1 is just for fun” so I wouldn’t worry too much at that age, just keep introducing foods. That age is a bit young to feed themselves with a spoon as well, I think that happens closer to a year old.
Someone there was even decapitated somewhat recently. Within the last couple years.
I was also a CICO person until I watched an episode of PBS NOVA called The Truth About Fat. Turns out our bodies are very good at trying to stay at the same weight even if we change the calories we consume.
It was pretty nice. Our oldest just turned 3 so I think she really appreciated the gifts this year and is having a blast with her new toys. We just finished making gingerbread cookies. We’re also not talking to my in laws until April at the earliest so that’s a load of extra stress gone and it’s amazing.
Harvey also has a companion guide book to Capital.
Maybe something to do with sinuses draining when he lays down? Not sure about the hot and sweaty part though.
I’ve bought a couple pints of ice cream made from that in the past. Brand was Brave Robot and they used the precision fermentation whey from Perfect Day. It was really good. Not better enough than oat milk ice cream to justify the cost though.
Iirc Perfect Day stopped trying to sell direct to consumers so they shut down brands like Brave Robot to sell directly to other businesses to use their whey.
I know a couple companies are close to selling mozzarella made from it to the public and they plan on moving to other cheeses after that.
I don’t like straight up cows milk but might give cheese made from it a shot. I’ve had a hard time making e.g. whipping cream from plant milks too especially since I don’t like a strong coconut flavor. Basically no ethical objections from me.
Mind sharing? I’ve been thinking about getting a bread machine anyway.
It started last month for me
I was once on a train for two days straight in China, 2008, and it was magical. I yearn to go back. The rhythmic rocking lulling me to sleep was heavenly.

Sounds good! We had a vegan Friendsgiving last week potluck style. I made a seitan turkey that was pretty good. Our family sucks so it’s just my wife, toddler, baby and myself today, and I get to make another vegan spread. Just did a main, two sides, and pumpkin pie but I’m wiped out.
Thanks for this. I love finding new books for my kids! I had the idea to do Frog and Toad several months ago after seeing you talk about it and it was a huge hit.
