FWIW, i left the usa after the 2000 elections (i voted 3rd party). The writing was on the wall with regards to the direction of the country. Best decision i ever made in my life.

Ive been a socialist since the late 1980s. I know many other GenX that are the same.

My issue with this trend is that so many people believe that just because it’s film photography they think their photos are somehow better despite the same crappy composition, lighting etc.

One of the best thing about film imho is that it makes you think about what you’re looking at because you don’t have unlimited shots and its not cheap. Firing off 30 shots of the same scene is going to get costly (don’t forget you have to have it developed as well).

I fully support Ukraine in the war to defend itself from the Russians.

However, gleefully watching the death of soldiers really doesnt sit well for me. Its usually those with no power that are sent to Ukraine to die in the Russian meat grinder.
