For all your owl related needs!
Oh very cool! I wandered around there a bit when we went to an adult only after hours thing at the Academy of Sciences.
This was the only owl I saw there 😁
We loved SF so much. I was only there for a week for work, but I brought my gf since it was during her birthday and we did soooo much stuff while we were there.
Now you’ve got me picturing someone having the most perfect throw only for an owl to knock it away at the last second. 🤣
No rocket fuel out the back of this guy though. 😝
Getting rid of (or at least reducing greatly) the use of those poisons is such a monumental thing for predators.
It’s great to highlight these ecological wins, even if none on their own is game-changing. It’s this trend of positive change spread out over the world that will make the cumulative difference we need, and it’s important we start somewhere on fixing past mistakes.
Having something like a golf course that is built for a few who will use it vs a natural preserve that benefits everyone whether they acknowledge it or not is a great thing!
We got it! Thank you so much!
It doesn’t look like it grabbed it. It should do a quick auto reply when it reads it. It’s usually very quick.
It has been interesting learning the quirks to how it works. 🙃
The spearfishing minigame in Y6 was way more fun than I’d expected it to be!
My whole family played the heck out of Super Black Bass! Probably the best fishing I’ve ever had in a game.
15-20 is pretty ancient for a captive Screech, and I hadn’t seen anything on how old he was when he was originally taken in, like if he was born with bad eyes, got them after a few years maybe from disease or injury, or if he was already a pretty old owl when they got him. He’s been in captivity longer than a typical Screech would be alive in the wild.
I’ve been thrilled with all the great owls of India the algorithm is finally sending me. They have such a great variety, and the colors and patterns of the subcontinent are unique.
The Spotted Owlet is one of the more common ones, but that doesn’t make it any less special.
There are still a lot of old beliefs and superstitions there that add to the dangers for owls there. A number of organizations try to keep them safe from trafficking and violence.

Maybe it’s just waiting for someone to come join it on the branch, but it doesn’t know we can’t fly? 🤔
Uh oh! You need the “!” before the lemmySilver to call the bot so your vote gets counted.
Glad you liked it! It’s not too often we seem to get a decent amount of details of one of these atypical cases.
I love the Presidio! Got to visit a few years ago. Didn’t spot any owls, but I did see dolphins and pelicans and a ton of giant bullwhip kelp.
The iconic view of the Golden Gate was naturally amazing as well!

I’m not sure how old he is, but I’m glad he’s getting to live a long and spoiled life.
Oh shoot, I forgot to post the link! 😅
This comment in particular goes into Zeus’s specific medical conditions.
I’m glad to see he is still around!
Check out this older post for some further details on both Zeus and another amazing type of “galaxy eye” that seems to only happen to Burrowing Owls.
Not an official Pokemon, but it’s got a few reposts here and there.
Tail doesn’t seem big enough.
I really enjoyed these! That owl isn’t taking any guff from any rodent, no matter how chonk!
