  • It’s not only the US that got hit by that russian campaign to mess with youths and even younger children. Europe for its fair share as well. It also plays into their “oh look at the degenerate west” playbook perfectly.

They’re responsible for so much damage that I have no idea how it’ll end. Not even children with tech savvy parents are immune, as I can attest to myself.

It’s important as fuck to have discussions about bad content to children ass soon as they get any kind of screen available to them, and it should never ever be a babysitter unless it’s under controlled circumstances.

It’s also a good idea to start teaching your children how any tech they use works and what happens under the hood if they’re interested. They’re certainly less likely to get influenced by any bad actors if they know what’s what.

  • They’re building bases close to the Finnish border. I almost feel sorry for them, but not really.

Joking aside though, if a new front opens it’s highly likely it’ll be here. Our politicians are already ensuring we have a plan, and …we’ll, we do.

If they want to fight us in the forests again I don’t think it’ll end like Putin thinks it will, no matter if it’s summer or winter.

Their drones won’t be as effective, and while they may well have a larger army now than when they started that’d change pretty quickly I believe.

  • The only jobs I’ve ever had were teaching and nursing, both paid by the country I live in, not some private entity. I don’t even own a car or a TV, nor do I live in the US for that matter.

Get your head out of your ass and realise there’s more to life than fucking money. I was born poor and will die poor, but I don’t give a shit because I at least know I helped some people along the way.

Jfc, the bubble some live in. You should be ashamed of yourself, but I guess you’re not even capable of that, are ya?

  • That’s the good parent award right there. You should be proud of yourself, it isn’t always easy. My own son is a bit younger but we have the same thing going, building computers together and whatnot.

Meanwhile I haven’t spoken to my violent alcoholic excuse for a father in almost a decade. If I manage to outlive that asshole I’m going to his funeral solely to tell everyone exactly what a piece of shit he was.

  • I’ve been a nurse for over a decade and I disagree strongly. Way too many of the doctors I’ve had to do with both outside and inside my work have been overworked, arrogant or simply too jaded to do their work properly.

There have been exceptions, of course. I survived both surgeries, after all. Maybe I could have avoided having to learn how to walk again if someone had listened a bit earlier. Maybe not.

But yes, we get into this line of work to help people initially, at least generally, I’ll give you that.

  • I’ll concede that there’s a difference between physical and psychological diagnoses, but I’ll stand by the main point I was trying to convey, which in this case is that simply blindly following whatever a doctor says can go very wrong.

At the very least there’s always a good reason to get a second opinion if there’s even a little bit of doubt. Obviously there’s also the difference between a lifelong psychological issue and an acute medical emergency.

I simply felt that OP was giving really bad advice and I’m fairly sure he’s got no medical training whatsoever, while I’ve been a nurse for over a decade. Maybe I’m wrong and he’s a doctor, but I highly doubt it.
