Some people even pair their music high with media that already has sound of its own (dark side of oz) or to listen to different music (mashup)

The same is not true for many other addictive activites.

Music is a drug on its own since it has the power of altering ones state of mind by basic consumption withour extra input so i think its on the wrong side of the categorization here.
