Sarkasmus beiseite: Mit Sicherheitspersonal, Überwachung & Co. hält man höchstens den Brand in Zaum. Die Bekämpfung von Ursachen finde ich langfristig viel wichtiger. Es darf einfach nicht sein, dass es so viele Menschen gibt, die sich an anderen “vergreifen”.

Obligatorische Info, dass rein gesundheitlich kein unschädlicher Konsum üblicher alkoholischer Getränke existiert und dass Alkohol ein Klasse 1 Karzinogen ist; genau wie radioaktive Strahlung, Asbest und Tabak. Schädlich ab dem ersten Tropfen.

Quite a loaded philosophical question, but an important one if we want to talk about the essence of art and the beings – either natural or artificial – that create it.

By that definition, those without a (known) sense of self-awareness or conciousness, couldn’t. And yet, we can see behaviour that we would call “art”. Be it a bird, which mimicks sounds or invents a dance to impress females, or a fish that draws patterns into the sand for similar reasons.

Jo, aber solange diese nichts bzw. nicht genug tut, muss man halt selbst zusehen, was man tun kann.

Ich stimme prinzipiell zu, was den “Tropfen auf dem heißen Stein”-Teil belangt, auch wenn diese Argumentationsweise schnell dazu verleitet zu einseitig an Klimawandel, Umweltschutz heranzugehen, a la “ach lass die Landwirtschaft doch in Ruhe! Die Kohleindustrie ist viel schlimmer!”. Gegenmaßnahmen müssen m.E. auf jeder Ebene getroffen werden.

Zu dem “weil es Spaß macht”: ich bin mir sicher, dass man Alternativen finden kann, die auch Spaß machen, ohne so schädlich zu sein, gerade auch, wo du den Alkoholkonsum erwähnt hast (was nicht nur “bisschen schädlich” ist, sondern ein Klasse 1 Karzinogen). Es existieren ganze Kulturen, die ohne Alkohol glücklich sind.

Ich halte es für sinnvoll solche Alternativen zu erkunden und zu erproben. Wenn man ähnlich gute Alternativen hat, die aber ohne die kritischen Nachteile kommen, ist es nur ein Gewinn.

Then there were some farmers who were unhappy about governmental advances to reduce or remove the “agricultural diesel” subsidies. They’ve blocked highway entrace ramps with burning car tyres and dung, went really hardcore compared to the Letzte Generation, and finally got what they wanted.

Or someone who prefers products with a lower carbon footprint.
