I updated my post with the solution that worked for me. Try that and hopefully it will work for you.
Yes I’ve tried a bunch of different versions
I was playing Genshin and ZZZ with no issues before the latest update. I tried just running the genshon exe but it said I needs the launcher.
That’s very helpful, thanks!
The Amazon page explicitly says it’s not compatible with Linux. That’s confusing
I ended up buying the loop experience 2 since those are specifically for concerts and are a little cheaper. I have a concert coming up in a few weeks, I’ll let you know how they work!
This is very helpful, thank you!
I second Linux mint. It’s my daily driver and I love it. I first switched my laptop which wasn’t much daily driver to mint and when I got used to it I switched my main desktop.
I knew about dodi but FG has a good reputation for having clean repacks. I haven’t been risky enough to experiment with other repackers.
I am using the proprietary driver on mint and it’s version 550.120. It works great and I haven’t really had any issues with my games. The only one that gives me issues sometimes is Alan wake 2. I have that installed through heroic and the performance is hit or miss. Somedays it’s great, and other days it won’t fully use my GPU. But all my steam games run great. I would give it another try.
I had a 3070 and now I upgraded to a 4070 ti super and havent had issues with either. Maybe I got lucky but I never understood all the negative views on nvidia and Linux.
Lmk if it doesn’t work. I can try and give you some other tips that might work
I stumbled on a reddit post that suggested the same thing and it did work for me. Thanks for the help!
I edited my post with the fix. Thanks for the help
I edited my post with the solution. There was a setting I had to enable globally and per game to enable dlss. Thanks for the help
I have an RTX 4070 ti super and it works great. But I use proprietary drivers.
What I don’t understand is how I could be throttling on temps. I’ve been watching them and the temps don’t go above 60c for either GPU or CPU. And the other thing is, it will say I’m throttling as soon as the game loads when the temps are in the 50s. I have also been using a different program to track temps and the most I’ve seen CPU temps is 79c from loading shaders.
Edit: looking at the config file for mango hud, it says : display GPU throttling status based on power, current, temp or “other”. It seems to me that, this popup appears if you have any 1 of those conditions.
Yes, I disable vsync for testing. I haven’t looked up too many benchmarks. I’ve been just watching the core clocks, temps and overall fps stability to determine if the performance is as it should be. I came across a reddit post saying that throttling in mangohud means that you’re using the most out of the PC parts and that’s what you want. So I’m going to not worry about it lol
Awesome! Glad that it worked.
