Something that astonished me about China is that most people don’t have email addresses. If Chinese people want to communicate digitally, they use WeChat, which is tied to their phone number instead. And all other online accounts are also tied to a phone number, so generally the only Chinese people who even have an email are office workers and such, and it’s only used for work.

Another reason to hate capitalism: the US Postal Service used to operate an email network, one of the first ever, but they were quickly outlawed from developing it because corporations like AoL wanted to create a similar service for profit. In a better world, E-COM (Electronic Computer-Originated Mail) addresses would be the only email addresses that Americans had & they would be properly vetted and spam-free.

It’s a cultural thing for white people. Hell, I’d say that it’s one of the only things that’s truly white culture. When the word “art” gets used on something, it’s basically the same as anointing it. Any and every drawing, sculpture, text, video, and song is “art” by default. And some take it further to define everything made by a person as “art” too. Even though it’s vague as hell, it’s a deadly serious topic.

I’m not saying that other cultures don’t have similar ideas, but that it’s weird the way that white people universally agree that protecting “art”, whatever that is, is of the utmost importance.

Real. The yokai watch games are easily among the best on the 3DS in terms of music, graphics, gameplay, humor, everything. I played 1 just because I’ve been going through the entire hshop and I got blown away by how much better it is than Pokemon in every way except battles (which Pokemon games aren’t good at either tbh. Showdown is the only bearable way to play competitively). I of course played 2 and 3 right afterward and the high quality is consistent. Yeah people are always comparing every creature collector to Pokemon, but in this case yokai watch is the obvious winner; it’s no contest.

These games are long as hell too. I know gamers are tired of hundred-hour RPGs but on the 3DS, it’s an anomaly. It’s kinda shocking how you can spend thirty hours on yw3 and still have your team at level 10. And I don’t mean that in a bad way! These games have meandering Yakuza-like stories that are really charming throughout. I think the posters here would appreciate the gabbaghouls
