  • I directly compared autism to other mental disorders. How is that implicit or unclear? The fact is there are autistic people that would have better lives if they weren’t autistic. I don’t really care what you want to call that, disorder, neurodivergence, being special. You could absolutely cause enough neurological changes that someone ends up on the spectrum, but that won’t “cure” them because they weren’t debilitated, by nature of the word. What you should do is stop acting like being autistic is just being different. Sometimes it is, sometimes an autistic person is beyond normal in a good way, and sometimes autism can ruin your life. It’s the life ruining kind that should be treated.
