Sort of sounds like a problem that could be solved with a sealed oil barrel and the Hudson river TBH…
because that might be where the prison transport van gasses up before driving him to prison.

Digitally? I couldn’t recommend anything, as I’ve never used digital formats for world building or mapping.
So far as analog means are concerned, I think that shnizmuffin@lemmy.inbutts.lol has the right idea. I’d recommend Dyson’ Logos (http://www.dysonlogos.com/) for similar material, although I’m not sure how much information you’d glean from reading their blog entries. I can, however, recommend the best system I’ve ever seen in print, straight from TSR’s Dungeoneer’s Survival Guide (published circa 1986) section on page 114 “Mapping Your Settings”. If you can’t get your hands on a copy, there may be a way to find a PDF copy.
Edit: Maybe kismet, maybe not, but I just stumbled across this 3D mapping tool: https://bsky.app/profile/passivestar.bsky.social/post/3lnkwdpebps24

My bet would be that it’s worse. Turn up some stories about what’s happened in the GEO Group prisons alone since the turn of the millennium: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GEO_Group
I can’t be the only one thinking of a lot of Reddit’s mods as Jimmy Wichard from King of the Hill, can I?
I saw the original version only yesterday afternoon. How did this lose 1/4 of its height and gain a bust of Stalin in such a short time?
MRW I hear Kevin Sorbo speak or write anything since 1999 when Hercules wrapped.

Not just that the prick wastes so much of it, but stinks the place up for everyone else while he’s at it.
Glad to hear it, best of luck.
Easy, continue to eat and drink as expected when in the company of others. If pressed about appetite on any occasion, simply claim to have eaten beforehand.
Aargh, twice as bad that way, what a shitty bunch of jerks. Not quite a crab bucket, I can’t quite remember the idiom to suit this scenario, but easy to say that they should have known better than anyone. Let them sleep with the enemy and sow their own oats in spoiled dirt, there are other gaming groups out there.
My pleasure, it’s always my hope that people can find a friendly table to game.
Aah, the Deep South makes for a whole different kind of animal where these problems are concerned. The best that I can think of it to network with groups operating IRL out of your nearest large city’s gay neighbourhood - odds are better to find parties better aligned to your SO’s situation, and much, much less tolerant of the kind of abuse which can be expected in the sticks/country outside of urban centers. If the pair of you aren’t urban, there may be a way to connect with players & DMs in the same time zone, if not close enough to play around the table.
I’m sure they appreciate your support, thanks for being a good egg.
Can I petition for a version of this without the Gowrata eyes?
Seems like a good time to mention Perry Mason (2020-2023), another period piece film noir detective drama. It doesn’t have Patrick Stewart, Gates McFadden, or Whoopi Goldberg, but it has Robert Downy Jr. as producer, as well as Matthew Rhys Evans as lead alongside John Lithgow, Tatiana Maslany, and Shea Whigham. It got canned by HBO after a limited run of only two seasons, but still worth looking into if you like the Dixon Hill style of detective stories as seen in Star Trek: the Next Generation.
Just checking, does the U.S. perform executions for non-capital crimes?
