• #room:matrix.org this one won’t be possible. # is used for tags/hashtags in mastodon, one of the largest fediverse software. Currently only mbin and piefed support tags. PieFed will work on mastodon’s support when API work is over. So the # may create problem later.
• @user@server why not ? We use email example to explain federation. But we could change with @ to : because we use @ for mention in lot software. :)

Yep, those meme sent during a crucial event are vote manipulation. Far right movement use those tactic. I received meme during the french senate election. Come back to facebook, animated a page against far right movement. Horrible. I had to deactivate pictures and memes.

That’s why i think leaving lemmy is a good thing to do. For its features : peertube, mastodon, tags, flairs and good moderation tools.

You confirmed my worst fear. When we went to lemmy, PieFed didn’t exist yet, So we did a post explaining about lemmy and its dev. It was fine.

We knew they were tankie but there were a language barriere, so we were in a peaceful land.

But it they type lemmy on google i understand why no one would come…
Maybe google also manipulated the result to show the worst lemmy community. They did a patnership with Reddit. Anyways we will never know we can’t check their algo.

So it can’t be Lemmy,Mbin,PieFed. And i’m adding flarum.

However, we can create separate category :

• aggregator link : lemmy,mbin,piefed
• forum : nodebb, flarum

1. Thank to Meta, i don’t like it…
2. My favorite one, it remind me of forum era
3. Abstract and beautiful. Poetry, bible and verb. Something we have never see before 😊.
4. i’m against. Link aggregator shouldn’t be tied by a software name but a global concept as thread of forum. If i have 6 softwares…do you write them all ?
5. linkagg lousy but pratical. Bad name are the best. 😎

Well, if you tell them about us, irl, maybe.

I told my familly to leave facebook after showing them various news. They didn’t move. I also told them about free software, they didn’t move.

Beside, Meta will hide any competitors from its timeline.

Facebook won’t die anytime because lot association and market created their buissness page there. All my Deafs friend use meta for their groups…

Whatsapp is very very popular. For example in spain and other countries.

Maybe people doesn’t comment that much but they read, like, share their contact, watch video…

I think we should take action. They will lose their beloved app, they may not enjoy the new one. But for geopolitical reason, we shouldn’t allow those spywares in our territory and push common software : free software.

For the name, you can do a poll here. PieFed allow us creating a nice poll. And i saw a creative use of poll with interactive fiction. :)

Strangely i find more difficult to prounouce theadiverse than forumverse. 😅

It’s not that meta define us. Lot words changed over time due to our perception : as Deaf/Sumain, Queer, Handicap…it’s our perception that defined them.

Anyway, i hope it won’t boost the research of Meta app because we used threadiverse. I don’t want to freely market their word.

I don’t use threadiverse thank to Meta. 💀 So the closest alternative for me was forum. Forumverse.

We could chose Verse as poetry, verb…but i don’t think anyone would understand. 😔

Oui, j’ai eu cette expérience avec l’image de kid paddle au début du bot blork. En fait quand tu téléverse une image ça crée une URL. Et comme c’est la meme c’est considérée comme un crosspost :)
