I was going to give it a listen. I’m not familiar with this artist. There are a million things that come up for “tom curtain” on Spotify. Is it a Television song? What is the artist and album?

Buddy. I am running a seven camera Frigate system with a Thinkpad X230t (2012). That is the ultimate thicc-pad with a chunky rotatable, foldable touchscreen, from 2012. Obsolete, but not on eBay, Google tpu USB dongle. Total system cost to me <$300 bucks. Oh, yeah I forgot to mention it runs my Home Assistant, Lyryion music server and Tailscale. I have a sneaky suspicion that thing is going to last for a couple more decades. It is Military grade hardware. Look it up. And if you walk into my kitchen. There’s a HA dashboard and control pane on it. It’s a touchscreen after all. You can even click the stylus/pen out of the side if your hands are greasy. There’s a recipes navigator/editor (Zim wiki) on the desktop. I don’t know. I personally think it is as stylish of a kitchen appliance as you can find. I guess it depends on your sensibilities.

I’m replying to you because you sound like you know a lot about it. I have Google Fi service with an “eSim”. It can’t possibly be true that a Sim card is better than an eSim, can it? An eSim is total vapor. I have to beg Google Fi to turn it in or transfer it. At least a Sim can be transferred manually. So if Sim is no bueno, and an eSim is no bueno, then what, pray tell, is the 3rd option here? Is there some much better option that busy “normies” can choose?

I’m already sick of all the back slapping. This is the first time I ever thought of these words. But, really, it’s “thank you Trump”. Now get something done Democrats. Focus on shit that will come to fruition in two years. And don’t make it “we’re going to cut everyone a check”. And don’t make it an endless slog subpoenas and grandstanding. I’ve got a suggestion: breakup SpaceX and nationalize Starlink. They’ve already proved they are a national security threat.

I am a hard worker and workaholic. Is it just me or does Claude try talking you out of doing stuff? It will be like 10am and Claude/opus will try this: "great session , you deserve some rest, go enjoy your family and we’ll come back to it tomorrow, have a good night Wut?

I abandoned Google search not due to AI, but simply because it has been terrible for years now. I’m happy to pay for Kagi. Search is a major part of my work. google search plain sucks now

Correct. I got banned for repping guillotines as a solution to Americas problems, and then doubling down. That “this account has been banned” banner has been a point of pride for me. I joined reddit in 2009. For so many years I answered questions and commented all day long. In certain subs I was a major contributor. I switched phones and now can’t even log in without an app. I will not be downloading that app. Goodbye Felicia good luck with your bots

Fuck no

The idea that Mamdani is a spineless suck up seems absurd to me. To even make that claim is to totally lose my attention

The money is denominated dollars or other currencies. So if you get say 2.9 percent, but actual inflation is at a much higher rate, 7 percent, you are losing money. You can buy much less stuff than you could have before you put it in there.

Most Americans have a log in with at least 10 options they can choose. I dare say nearly all do.

Everybody who doesn’t live forever “times the market”. Your not describing discipline, you’re describing FOMO. If you believe the AI Bubble premise, and you had discipline you’d keep a lot of cash. Like Berkshire does these days. I call that “timing the market”.

Everyone of these folks can move full allocation to various options like money market or bonds, or international growth, etc. and they should. Oh and after the bailout begins, get out of that money market, because it will be the toilet paper market then.

It’s been so useful to me. It’s crazy.

Use Claude and then get back to me

It was not always obvious to me. I wonder if maybe politicians (and everyone else) have to make compromises to get things done?

Am I a conspiracy theorist here? MS was just one vote of many parties creating UEFI? They, as dedicated, equal stakeholders were committed to the idea that any abstraction, complexity, or cost of integration of the technology must only be created for the sole purpose of empowering the hardware owner to have a more secure device?

Is that an interesting article, and on a Rupert Murdoch owned outlet? Are they very compelling to you, the Rupert Murdoch outlets? Yeah, me neither

Is he cooked? Is he even in custody?

It’s called Capitulation. It has a terrible history. For Germany to capitulate to Trump is a hard pill to swallow for me. Those who don’t learn from history…
