Nice. Thanks for the links.
I ended up making a new account on lemmy.studio so what I might do is search for all the ones in your list so they appear in the lemmy.studio communities.

Oh yeah, I forgot about drums. I haven’t searched for that yet.
Instead of trying each community one at a time I decided to make a list of ones to try at some point when things calm down.
I’m on vlemmy and noticed that some of the searches I made last night are starting to pop up in the results today so things are definitely working.
You’re probably not interested in all of these but there is a wearethemusicmakers community in this list.
I used https://browse.feddit.de/ btw.

I’ve been looking for communities for people who make music. Have you found anything?
I’m still listed as pending so I haven’t checked it out yet but this one was for camping and hiking. I’m trying to join the ones that have the largest number buts it’s hard to tell sometimes.

I’m used to 9 different subs but maybe all piling up into one would be good to get the numbers up. Then people can split off into ultralight, bushcraft, survival, or whatever from there if those don’t already exist.
Right now I have an MPC Live and a PO-33.
The MPC gets a lot of use while I’m creating something new but the projects is moved into the DAW as soon as it’s time to expand on it.
The PO-33 I have because it looked like for for portable lo-fi fun.
