yeah I know that it’skind of an “official community service”, and that helps, but it’s probably not good as a first impression to new users, and even to me its a bit weird
Computers and the internet gave you freedom. Trusted Computing would take your freedom.

honestly I can understand them, it gives off a scammy feeling
I thought kraken stopped selling Monero last year, but even with a stablecoin it’s still KYC.
reto is good to have but with that you can only buy in large quantities.
What you do is you just allocate an amount per month that you use to buy Monero with.
and where do you buy it? through a KYC exchange?
not necessarily, package managers tend to overwrite existing files on the same path, if you end up having installing such a package. but that shouldn’t apply to /usr/local
thats fair, but that shouldn’t make you avoid sensible freedesktop dirs just out of spite.
a distro package is way overkill for this, and its also better to not litter the home directory with yet anothet dotdir, that’s why .local/bin is a good place, also recommended by systemd the freedesktop base directory standard: https://specifications.freedesktop.org/basedir-spec/latest/
don’t worry, it’s enough if your chat partner didn’t have it disabled
I don’t trust ladybird’s dev. he is vocally against a minority, calling their existence politics

this seems to be the context: https://git.omaps.dev/organicmaps/organicmaps/issues/10555

especially that matrix room’s fantastic moderators didn’t even enable room previews, so that you can’t even view what’s going on without joining it (and making a matrix account if you didn’t have one)
that’s why you never boast with how much money you got, folks, especially on the internet
so anyone reading this, the post was about pewdiepie doing some video about switching to Linux. I guess OP got scared about the comments and decided to get destructive… I should really set up my website autoarchiver script because this linkrot thing gets boring real quick
This is what needs discussion. It is this tool which will lead to harassment due to the way someone votes.
wrong. voting users are already visible through other services, like mbin. and the information is already there, those who are really interested are already scraping it, this just makes it more accessible and also serves as an eye opener
I find this whole thing weird because some federating platforms (like mbin I think) already show voting users publicly
yeah, it seems dell is just utter garbage
they are forcing it. if you are not determined, you won’t be able to get an offline account. many are not determined. many don’t even realize that it’s not for their benefit, even after onedrive starts announcing it daily that their drive is full
oh, forgot that it’s a regional thing
hopefully, but I was thinking earlier about it and with how the security deposit system works, it may be more risky to do it in small quantities (but then, the monero buyer doesn’t get the monero until they paid, so I’m not sure what I was thinking about). and of course, I imagine that in smaller quantities it would have a higher pricing too
