Aer yuo hivang a steork?
You’re right, or course, but socialism is a dirty word. I know people who collect social benefits and complain about socialism. It’s kind of hard to argue with that logic, because it’s just not there.
Okay, you lost me here. Clearly, I’m not up to date on current events and references.
Without fly ash from coal plants, how are my children going to get enough uranium and thorium to build strong lungs? Think of the children, you progressive scum!
We really thought it was about to be World War III.
Oh, well, thank you then. Now I’m just envious that I wasn’t able to communicate my message as clearly and succinctly. Kudos to you.
As a native social media pedant, I’d just like to take a moment to split hairs and point out that’s the literal definition of that phrase.
With all that said, I’m glad you’ve taken that approach. They’re very lucky to have you. I wish I could’ve had more adults like that in my life as a child. Here’s to you and your contribution to supporting the next generation. May they pass on those values, too.
Agreed, and I feel like that’s what I’m getting at here. A family of five used to be able to exchange 40 hours of labor with the economy and at least get by. Now it’s 80 hours, and we’re struggling. The right is suggesting we put our children to work to make up the difference.
I think we’re on the same page.
I wish there were a scathing pejorative that rhymed with “cybertruckers.”
It makes them less efficient. Ferrari is not helping the average person get into an EV. Their price points are well above what’s achievable for most people. Should they be able to? Of course. Is it remotely constructive? No. This is performative marketing for companies struggling to transition from the fossil-fuel culture they’ve nurtured for decades into the electric energy future. They fought it until they saw the writing in the wall, and now they realize they have to convince their indoctrinated consumers to come with them. If they had any integrity, they would revise their motorsport culture to emphasize the advantages of the EVs they’re selling rather than try to camouflage them as cosplay ICE vehicles, but here we are.
Beautiful scene of a flounder returning to its native habitat.
We don’t need going where we’re roading. Roads?
Nice! Fuck Walmart still, though.
Cults are an option. You have more fun as a follower, but you make more money as a leader.
“No man should have to work more than 40 hours per week!”
“Yeah, that seems pretty reasonable.”
“Women should be able to work for the same wages!”
“Of course. We should all have equal rights.”
“20 hours should be the new work week!”
“I don’t know, man. Seems pretty leftist. It’s not like we nearly doubled employment.”
For me, it was 3rd and Market. It was November 22nd, 1963 at about 1238pm. I was walking past Sal’s Electeonic Emporium when I saw the commotion on the TVs in the display window.
This is my favorite answer. I’d argue that he got less than the natural consequences of his actions. In nature, when one assaults another, even with something as harmless as water, it’s usually reasonable to interpret it as a threat, the response to which is usually violence. That kid is lucky he didn’t get a face full of claws. I’ve gotten a lot worse from gently touching cats that, as it turned out, didn’t want to be touched. Boundaries are important.
If his Dad’s reaction is any indication, he likely won’t.
Don’t worry. Water prices will start going up too.
I want to believe that, but how will the owner accomplish that with the dad intervening?
