Sure there was a silver lining of sorts, but the ACA transferred more power and wealth to medical insurance companies than there was before, hastening our approach to where we are now. I’m sorry if I don’t give much credit to the medicine we were given to dull the pain, because it didnt fix the problem. In fact, since so many think it did help so much, we have ignored the problem so we could argue about whether the medicine is nice or bad or rude or evil or etc.

I don’t think it counts as locking them away without food or water if they don’t become thirsty or hungry while grounded. Grounding my son for an hour, technically he has no water or food, but if he asked for it I’d give it to him.

This is unintentionally how we do it. We split up the socks after cleaning them but like a day later mom is wearing the oldest ones socks and the oldest one is wearing dads socks, and the little one has one sock from the older brother and another he found under the couch buried in dog hair.

You are assuming the internal voice is more of a presence. Its more the background exhaust of thinking. I don’t have to listen to my inner voice say it, as I read silently they just fall out the back of my head as I go.

Thats why this perspective is a problem. You won’t know you are at risk of addiction until you are already addicted. Apparently its very easy to kick addictions though so I guess no worries. Theres definitely some logic to the idea things aren’t a an addiction until they negatively affect your life, but I think there needs to be more nuance there for it to be practically useful advice.

Just for anyone else, it can be normal to have multiple shits per day. I’m glad you figured out you were lactose intolerant though.
