I looked up various possible original terms. Looked up some public figures that are typically linked to Japan, possibility of political assignations by our intelligence services, bad anime translations of the 80s, and nothing. I have no idea where to dig further.

I don’t hate Matrix but I’m not a fan. My only experience was on mid-size chatrooms where that was enough to notice the usual e2e UX issues just amplified by the number of users. I also remember reading articles about security issues. Both of those things make me reluctant to use it.
At the same time, I don’t have a serious alternative to propose for multi-chatroom e2e messaging software (I haven’t been looking though).
The most “fun” ones are the control questions askinging you exactly the opposite of something you’ve been already asked.
Except inversion also reverses subtext so your honest answer has to be different than just the opposite of the previous answer you have. But if the two answers are not a perfect mirror, you might trigger too many control questions and not get diagnosed. What should you do? AAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Oh, I did that for a bit before coming out fully. I got really good at making it sound normal. Then it took a months to shift back to gendering myself (properly of course).
What language was it? French works like that too: shifting to verbs that don’t have an audible variant, overusing passive voices, etc.

And you’re young, I started at 31 and I pass, even on the days were I just crawl out of the house no makeup or anything.
When I came out, I was worried of being too old, and then I saw other trans people that started in their 50s or 60s and were passing peeling perfectly. I remember looking at this woman’s selfie and thinking: “that’s just an older woman”. No clocking, or anything. It’s never too late.

Even before making legal changes, my chosen name was my true name, just like gender is the one that I feel not the one that was assigned to me.
If you’re curious femme in French is kinda pronounced like fam from family. Maybe a slightly longer a but long and short vowels in French are kinda volatile and heavily subject to local accents so meh
I’m also not a native speaker but my language/country operates under similar enough “rules”.
On top of what other people have said, cultural identifies, e.g. lesbian, can have a more specific and inclusive definition/understanding at the same time, for example in relation to non binary people.
There are also more precise terms in use inside the queer community than can be helpful to communicate with others. You have a look at finsexual, minsexual, sapphic, or achilean, for exemple. Labels in general don’t gather that much consensus and are more useful as a self descriptive thing.
Another aspect is the sex is just like gender socially constructed, and we only choose the terms male/female to designate people based on a loose list of physical characteristics, and those choices are arbitrary. Same thing with hono/heterosexuality.
Words like homosexual aren’t really in fashion anymore, although if I needed to describe myself to someone without much awareness I could describe myself as a homosexual transgender woman but that wouldn’t be my first choice.
Also, I think we can all understand that when people are looking to learn, they might not have the best language yet but I appreciate your disclaimer. It’s usually preferred to only use their actual gender (the one they will tell you, rather than the one under was assigned to them at birth) when taking to/about trans people. Saying something like trans man or transfeminine people, respectively a trans person that feels and want to be considered as a man (is a man is what I would say when not trying to explain things) and a trans person that is transitioning towards more feminity (that can be a trans woman or a feminine non binary peeson, amongst other things), will be enough information for people to understand without having to misgenger anyone.
I hope I’m making things clearer instead of more complicated.

A conservative estimate of the trans part of the population is about 1%.
World population is 8B, which would make a ratio of 80/69 if favor of trans people.
Considering that a quick search on military doctrine yields the amount of 10 soldiers per 1000 inhabitants, 20 in the case of active insurgency, the numbers are there.
If we expand to LGBTQIA+ people in general, I don’t have a lot of stats but polling in the US gives 9%, which I’ll round to 10% because I suck at math and it’s 2AM. That brings that number to 800/69.
Then, there’s the question of armaments. Reliance on the enemies of the UK proved quite effective the last time they faced a civil war so this seems doable.
Understanding how the UK treated the population they colonized as a frame of reference for how they should consider the idea of others colonizing them, it is clear they are clearly not afraid enough.
Did I spend 10min typing this just out of spite for terf Island? Yes. Was it worth it? No.

Thank you for the clarification! I wasn’t sure whether Japan mostly operated on a public healthcare like in the EU or private healthcare like in the US.
It’s a topic I find super interesting and Universal Healthcare is under attack by neoliberals and other right wing political actors about everywhere it’s been enacted like my own country, France. So it is very interesting to learn about how it work in other places.

When you talk about insurance, do you mean a private health insurance that you pay for?
And are those 70% you mention at the end also from a private health insurance?
I didn’t really get comfortable with it before changing. I only got used to it a while after changing.
Before and after, there were feelings of guilt, shame, and fear. And the imposter syndrome on top of that.
I would like to encourage you to try with your therapist and if you’re privileged enough to have them, trusted friends. Those are helpful spaces to make you more comfortable.
