True, but there are nuances. Stealing a symbol and giving it new meaning by using it for a different purpose is obviously a worse kind of appropriation than adopting language and culture.

Catholics make up only about 25% of the US population. US Americans also seem to have their own flavor of Christianity, where being nasty and cruel to your neighbor and killing everything you don’t like weirdly is part of their beliefs.
It’s not wasted completely time… you gained Gimp skills
On top of that, for us presentation and the general “vibe” of the application matters (actually only the CV - the blurb on why applicant’s greatest dream would be to work at our company and similar fluff is useless anyway) If you only read an AI summary you miss out on interesting bits and potential red flags. After all we choose to invite not only based on listed skills and certs but we need to make sure that the personality fits into the existing team. And yes, combing through hundreds/thousands of applications is a shitload of manual work.
vulnerabilities in protection, you say?
I agree, but you’ll have to watch it. They probably knew that a radical shift to the right would alienate their current readers, so they are taking it slowly
Ich muss Reiseabrechnungen und Belege für eine Firma in Papierform einreichen. Das ist bemerkenswert rückständig
Plot twist: Politico is owned by the German right leaning publisher Springer.
The #1 reason for slow progress in mobile (cell) availability and data speed in Germany was not even mentioned in the article: Radio licenses for frequencies in UMTS and LTE were auctioned by the state, and telecom providers had to pay absurd sums to be able to even participate. On top of this financial burden of course they had to invest into their infrastructure. As companies have to make a profit to survive, this lead to high prices and slow expansion of infrastructure.
Reason #2 is probably Deutsche Telekom. This is the privatized prior state monopoly and they profit off of their dominant position in the market and some extra regulation in their favor. They still operate much like a government agency and this stifles progress and makes it hard for other companies to compete.
TL;DR it’s an absolute shitshow
It still is perceived as such. Actions like these erode relationships and shift perspectives. But before you take countermeasures it is good to think about cui bono.
As an example: the EU member country Hungary is currently plagued by an autocratic leader named Orban. This man is openly hostile to the EU and provocations are his daily business. The EU could a) play hardball and retaliate, which would have grave consequences for the people of that country and give Orban an opportunity to spin this in his favour. Or b) Play nice (within limits) thus having a greater chance for the people of this country to realize in the upcoming elections in Hungary there is a better choice than Orban.
I know it’s probably necessary to reiterate these points to people who still don’t get it, over and over again. But as someone with a functioning brain I find these “stating the obvious” headlines very tiring.
Bought a new PC and switched from dual boot Win10/Linux to Linux only. All of the games I’m playing work well, so no need for Windows 11
Also the stakes are quite high to become the greatest war criminal of all time.
Maybe just try to stay reasonably healthy to annoy them. Eating crap leads to obesity and other health issues which make you weak, unhappy, dependent, isolated and (if you live in the US) also poor. Don’t let them win by making it easier for them to have power over you.
Of course not. Visas can be revoked at any time for any reason. Why do people always expect some kind of benefit for their donations? /s
“Verursacher von millionenfachem unnötigen e-Waste sorgt sich um die Umwelt”. Einfach nur lächerlich.
Du hast den Schleifenleerraum gefunden
Finally some closure after all those years
little choice for amazon the logistic company
Depends on where you live. Here in Germany we have a few alternatives, like “Otto” and a few others with specialisations like electronics. Some of them have a marketplace just like Amazon and they even offer the same cheap chinese crap that Amazon has to offer. So you could feel right at home.
Ding dong the witch is dead. I remember that. Good Times.
