They were colonial landowners, only thing differing them from the old decrepit British aristocracy was the lack of old decrepit titles and being snubbed on salons by them. And considering that their slogan was “no taxation without representation” (for them ofc, poors and slaves should just not be seen), seems it was also what bothered them greatly.

  • I get what do you mean, but militant antitechnological mass movement with sufficient quasi-religious fervor is horrible thing to think of (fortunately it is very unlikely) because in current conditions it would inevitably be hijacked by the far right. Which i imagine did happened in the original Dune (where Butlerian Jihad was something more like this and not typical skynet trope like in Brian’s Dune).

  • I don’t even read a book when it mentions Eldar on the back cover, because while slightly less than exodites, they also always serve as a easily killed gore background (completely unlike the lore about them), and as general elf trope this horse is so dead and so beaten up it reminds me more of a fossil grounded up by steam hammer.

About Ynnari i guess they will be retconned to a total failure at some point because we really cannot have any hope in Warhammer and especially not for the Aeldari.

  • Peak performance was Fire Warrior book based on computer game where the author didn’t filled it with unimportant crap but surprisingly followed the game and thus a lone fresh Fire Warrior beat the living shit out of everything Imperium thrown at him. Best xeno book ever.

Inifinite and the Divine was also great, but included exodites being genocided too so at least two points minus for that.

Ork and grot stuff can be fun too, especially Da Big Dakka was fun for many reasons including completely surprising genuine drukhari romance.

  • there are all of 11 full sisters novels

I had read one and a lot of cameo mentions in other books and there wasn’t anything even remotely sexual mentioned, every single sister seemed just incredibly psychologically repressed to the maximum on many levels and areas, so they frequently snapped and were reduced to the absolutely gross state of Repentia which seems to be closer to open Khorne worship than anything else.

Also i’ve yet to seen any appearance of SoB that won’t end with them being massacred either entirely or nearly entirely, even worse than guard penal legions.
