My TV has a “Night” mode that caps the volume at a certain level, so you can make the dialogue audible without having action be way louder. And also a “Volume Levelling” setting that has a similar effect, by trying to make all the sounds roughly the same volume rather than only quieting the ones that were louder to begin with.

Look up the Arnie flick “Commando”. It aged badly in a hilarious way.

This is the huge disconnect between what the fediverse is and what the users actually want.

Users want the convenience of a single entity that floats around the different instances. They want to interact with community A on instance B and also commini X on instance Y.

But most clients deal with it by letting you log in with multiple users on multiple instances

Old metal models were so… so charmingly stunty. Especially with terminator armour. I love how glowy the powersword looks

I’m finally finishing the resplendent Magnus the Red, who I picked up in the Court of the Crimson King battleforce box in December. Just a couple of pieces of armour to paint, plus his glaive.

And I’ve found a use for the Librarian from the Leviathan box. I’ve drilled out his eyes and mouth, and I’m going to mostly douse him in bright blue and pink contrast paints to represent Magnus’s Tzeentchy magic.

The leftover parts from the librarian are going into this sorcerer in terminator armour. He’s my first real attempt at kitbashing, complete with an inferno combi-weapon (a bolt pistol and warpflame pistol chopped up and mashed together) and greenstuff cape.
