Then they blame poor people for having too many kids.
“If you were able to overlook a genocide and cast a vote for Harris, you already know how a conservative was able to overlook Trump’s extremism and vote for him.” – Historian Robin D.G. Kelley
Then they blame poor people for having too many kids.
To build mass transit right?
Israel is the worst thing to happen to the region since Hulegu.
People are downvoting this but it’s the truth.
A very good and valid reason to object. A lot of Arab governments and heads of state have no business existing, let alone being in power.
More like tributes so they aren’t turned into another Iraq or Syria or Yemen or Sudan or Libya
I have no objections. That’s what it is already called in Arabic.
Fun fact in Turkish it is called Gulf of Basra, after the city in Iraq.
Another fun fact: in the grand scheme of things, Persians and Iranians are relative late comers to the region during the Babylonian Era; and the Gulf already had previous Sumerian, Elamite and Akkadian names. Late is in relation to the history of the region but when compared with the history of other regions 3000 years ago is a long time ago. Turks are even later-comers only 1000 years ago. I say this because they can’t claim that they named it first.
Final fun fact: Persians don’t live on the north coast of the Gulf, not in significant numbers and not historically, only Arabs live on both coasts even on the Iranian side.
PS: I am sympathetic to Iran in their struggle against imperialism and Zionism, and believe they have a right to develop whatever means to defend themselves and deter aggression. This naming dispute though, is something else for me regardless of Trump’s intentions.
Have you tried stopping the genocide? Or is Christian Apocalypticism more important than containing China?
The revolt sparked outrage among pro-Israel Democrats. “It’s beyond outrageous and offensive that House leadership bowed to extreme-right forces and pulled this commonsense, bipartisan bill,” said Rep. Josh Gottheimer, a co-sponsor of the legislation, in a statement to Newsweek. Gottheimer defended the bill as a necessary measure to combat what he described as “antisemitic and hate-driven boycotts.”
Malcolm X was right on liberals
The blockade also includes medicine and medical supplies not to mention all the hospitals that were destroyed and doctors killed by Israel.
Why not just stop the genocide? There were no naval blockade enforced by Yemen during the last ceasefire.
As someone who filed his taxes a month ago, on one hand I am impressed and humbled by Yemen’s -137th nominal GDP- resilience, and on the other disgusted that this is what my tax money is going to.
This article is from a month ago, so it doesn’t include the price of the two F/A-18s which were converted into an artificial reef.
During the brief ceasefire that started in January of this year, Yemen halted all attacks on Israel and paused its blockade on Israeli ships and those heading to Israel. Yemen has proven that if the genocide and blockade stops they will stop.
“Israel is fighting to save the values of Western Civilization” – Israeli president Isaac Herzog on MSNBC
With the EU demonizing Qatar, they don’t have many other sources besides perhaps the US and Canada which will cost them more.
Yemen is enforcing a blockade on Israeli ships and ships heading to/from Israel in direct response to the genocide and blockade on Gaza. The US instead of compelling Israel to allow aid into Gaza, is instead allowing them to starve hundreds of thousands and protecting them from the consequences. When Israel briefly allowed aid into Gaza during the ceasefire, Yemen honored the ceasefire and stopped targeting Israeli ships and ships heading to Israeli ports.
You are either lying or ignorant. But even if we accept your piracy claims, what’s worse piracy or genocide and forced starvation? How many innocent people were killed due to the piracy you claim versus that who were killed due to the US’s and UK’s response to it?
Aircraft carriers is how the US projects power anywhere anytime in the globe. I wonder where does this leave the US’s chances against China if they are having a bad time against a poor country with negligible military and no manufacturing base that suffered a decade of blockade, famine and bombings.
Another 73 million USD in the bottom of the Red Sea. Yemen is the poorest Arab state and one of the poorest countries in the world (137th GDP nominal). The US is going to war with them to protect Israel from the consequences of the genocide and blockade in Gaza.
I think British style plugs are the best despite their bulkiness. For one they are easily fixed and are designed to be so.
