I never had a problem with any group, I am generally passively in support of people I don’t have much connection to. However before I had my child I started becoming more actively supportive simply because he COULD be. But even groups that my son can’t possibly be (minority for example) I’ve been supporting them more because the compassion in me is higher than it was. Like, I always cared, but I wasn’t as driven to care, if that makes sense?

Just checked a few of his videos on you tube and I’d say leather teeth is my favorite and the closest to in this moments style.

In this moment leans heavier in the dark/nü metal stuff with a lot more lyrics. The singer has an absolutely angelic voice and then dives deep into a growl and switches back and forth often several times in one song. Her melodic voice is like a sirens call, hypnotizing you. Then she switches and you’re ankles are dragged to hell as she yells at you. It’s fucking amazing and I really hope she doesn’t kill her vocal cords doing that. It’s seriously hauntingly beautiful.

That’s fair to a point, but since “our” “values” have spread so thoroughly in the internet, since this was where the boom came from. Racist Americans took to the internet very early to spread hate and symbolism.

As an American, I admit ignorance that 88 was a special number in Chinese. However, you have to understand that I would have to actively seek out that information to know it before you said that. Which is awesome and why were all here, right? That said, our culture is so prevalent on the internet and otherwise that I suspect you did know that 88 was a number for Nazis. I mean, the fact that you know English and I don’t know Chinese is part of a testament to that, well that and our failing educational system.

This has always been my stance. If it doesn’t affect me, then I am always on the side of people’s rights. Automatically. Even if it does affect me, I’m still more likely to be in favor of people’s rights. Especially if the people in question are losing rights. I simply don’t understand people who think loss of rights stops at people they don’t like. It just doesn’t work that way. A loss of ANY right against ANYONE is a personal loss of rights.

For instance, I’m not LGBTQ+. But I will fight like hell for their rights. Not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because I know what happens when the LGBTQ+ people are gone. These are innocent people who just want to live their life and are under constant threat from physical and legal harm. The fact that Christians get so up in arms about even seeing two men kiss, or holding hands pisses me off on a level I can’t describe. Especially when you consider the huge proportion of child molestation in the church. And it is very common that that child molestation was against a child of the same sex as the adult.

I’m not saying there’s a causation there, but there’s definitely correlation. And that correlation isn’t homosexuality of the abuser. The correlation is power. Teaching, clergy, Hollywood, right wing, left wing, it happens on both sides, on all levels, and of moderates as well. But the one thing that always unifies EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. is power. 100%, every single time.

However, Republicans tend to have power/Dom fantasies at a FAR higher rate than Democrats. And again, I’m not saying that’s a causation, but it is a correlation.

Power fantasies are insanely dangerous, even if the person is a “lowly” cook. It’s potentially civilization ending if the person has the power of the US military. And I’ve yet to ever hear a Democrat fantasize about being president. Honestly even thinking about it… Fuck that. I can’t handle that kind of responsibility. But I guess if trump “can” do it, then I could as well.

It doesn’t help that prowe is an anagram for power.

It’s not gate keeping if it’s symbolic as hate to people here. That’s neat for you, assuming you’re really chinese. But the sincerity and severity of 88 as a symbol of hate, has to be taken as that’s the most likely, as it’s far more dangerous to dismiss hate as potentially innocent, than the opposite. And I suspect that you’re not arguing this point at face value.
